What is the set up of this venue like?

I'll be flying in for this gig and staying at the Days Inn at 3333 E. Van Buren, then walking the .3 miles to the venue. So are you saying I have to worry about making that few block walk?

Great! In this city was filmed "My Love Life"'s video. Have you ever seen the video? I'm sure you have! well, Morrissey was driving on the Phoenix streets: "I know you love, one person, so, Why don't you love 2?" so every time I hear this song I always remember this city, and I'm sure Morrissey will give a great performace here like he did in all his Esteban!Tour dates. HE IS THE LOVABLE ONE.

Does anybody know what happened with the first Tour week? Is Phoenix going to be the first date?

I know Vauxhall25 has asked to party after the show. I live in Phoenix but I just moved here. I have no idea where a good place to party is. Who is interested and who has suggestions?

What time do people plan on getting there?
Its going to be hot and we are going to need to drink a lot of water and be able to give bathroom breaks and food runs and what-not. I have done this in the winter and it isn't that bad but I'm definitely ready for the summer. As was pointed out, there is safety in numbers although the area the show is in isn't really too dangerous during the day, its more at night.

I stayed at the aforementioned Days Inn at 3333 Van Buren when I was out here looking for a place to live. With no car and being alone, I didn't leave the room at night.

I will probably work a half day and get there around half past noon. I'm guessing since this is the first date there will be a soundcheck which means a sneak preview into what we might hear and obviously a chance to meet the band and perhaps catch Moz. I will bring lots of water and can even bring some food but I need a basic head count so I know how much to bring.

For those of you flying/driving in and aren't famliar with the weather here, it will probably be about 110F give or take 5 degrees either way. The valley actually gets hotter as the day goes on and 4 or 5 is often hotter than noon. So dress accordingly and wear sunblock.

I have been thinking about the post party location and I can only really think of 2 places that would be fun okay 3 places. The first on would be the George & Dragon, This new irish place I dont remember the name but it is cool just small. For this place I will see what it takes to reserve their private room. And there is on other place called Pomaroy's This is a small place but I never see it busy. They have a great music in the music box. All of these places are located downtown so tell me what you think!!!

I have been bailed on by a friend so its just me and my little road trip from SD.

A single ticket available for sale at cost along with my unyielding friendship and stalwart companionship as we wait in line to get up close.

I need suggestions on a location for the post party. I have two places in mind but I would like your feed back on a location. I need this information posted by 8/7/02 so I can call the lucky bar and possibly arrange a drink special and music selection.

After the show, everyone could hit Christies Cabaret, which is a strip club just up the road from the celebrity. I could call ahead, and maybe we could bring Boz, Dean and Alain along for a few lap dances.

What does everyone think?

Is anyone besides me worried about how Celebrity Theater is going to prevent Moz from being mauled?

I have fears that the show will end after about 10 minutes because Morrissey will be stripped naked by adoring fans.....

I think back to the Fugazi show where people could freely make their way onto the stage, but did not too often because they were afraid Ian was going to kick their sorry asses.

While it is great to see the effect Morrissey has on his fans, he needs a bit of the Fugazi bravado to keep fans at bay in Phoenix.

Any thoughts?
