Well, just over 1 hour ago I was at Hovet and Moz was going off stage, having just finished "Last Night..." as encore. GREAT show!! Same set list as last night in Gothenburg. Just over an hour, short but very sweet.
Personally I thought he was on brilliant form, the band too,all the new songs sound amazing and had a great impact (on me anyway - first time hearing most of them) though I have to say I was very DISAPPOINTED by the almost comatose audience..as was Moz I believe. He seemed to lose interest in the non-interested crowd.. very little movement down at the front and this seemed to bug him.. at one point he asked "Do you want us to leave?".. Never a good sign. Shame, as he and the band were on great form. Most of his questions went unanswered and his jokes got the silent treatment. You BORING Swedes!! Wake up and ENJOY yourselves, you are at the Morrissey concert NOW!!! Or stay at home and watch tv if you prefer.. I think a lot of folks down the front were too busy taking pictures and filming from their mobiles to applaud :-( Sigh...

Other thoughts: Julia was there, he found her after asking for a while.
Told the crowd that sales in Sweden currently aren't quite enough to put the album in at #1 but didn't get much feedback..
He threw someone his maracas after one of the new songs (sorry, can't remember which!)
Never took off /threw his shirt - though he changed twice. Again, surely not a good sign?

That's it from me, really.. "Life is a Pigsty" was best tonight, sent shivers down my spine :-)
Enjoy him, all you who will be seeing him soon - he is on TOP FORM! Can't wait to buy the album now!

Hopefully changes up that setlist a bit here and there...I think he'll have to since he's doing 30 shows in a country thats 1/3 the size of Texas.

Miscellaneous recollections of yesterday (Score:1, Informative)
The music in the PA before the show was great as always. I did not recognize all songs though. I only remember that there were two Ramones songs, one Italian song and Tommy Körbergs “Judy min vän” (which was discussed in the Nöjesguiden interview). It was also a Mary Hopkins song that started with a spoken line: “Hi, this I Mary Hopkins and I would like to say hello to Russell and Ron Mael”. Never heard it before, does anyone know which record it’s on?

It was the same set list as in Gothenburg which I thought was fantastic. Never before, or not so frequently, played songs like “My Life is and endless succession…”, “Trouble loves me” and “Reader meets author” mixed up with the new material. However I, as everyone else, missed some song, e.g. “In the future when all is well” and “On the streets I ran”. It was an excellent instrumentation on some song. At the start of “Life is a pigsty” Boz played a glass of water with a big echo and on “At last I am born” he used a double guitar (Jimmy Page style) with the same colors as the Italian flag.

He introduced the band in a quirky way as usual. On guitar it was “I do, I do, I do, I do Boz Boorer” (as the ABBA song) and he himself was Gustaf which is a common Swedish name. He also thanked Marabou for making such great chocolate and mentioned that his favourite was Plopp. He mentioned that he was going to Helsinki next and there were mixed reaction from the crowd, some cheers and some boos.

The remark on whether the audience wanted him to leave came after the second song or something. I definitely did not see it as something that came out of the reactions, or the lack thereof, from the audience which was not that bad as has been stated. The concert took place in an ice hockey stadium and it is of course impossible to get an intimate feeling in a venue like that.

No, he didn't throw his shirt to anyone, but I think that had more than anything to do with the fact that someone has been living la dolce vita with too much tasty italian food and gained some weight rather than him not liking the audience.
