Seemed a lot flatter than the previous night's gig at the Apollo - mainly down to it being an all seater venue.
Moz mentioned Julia after Girlfriend in a Coma, only one shirt went into the crowd I think. He was quite talkative throughout the gig. Mentioned that You'll Never Walk Again (sic) gets a bad reception but the song goes further than Anfield. Also said that he saw Mott the Hoople in the same venue and asked the audience if they knew who supported them. No one did and the answer was Queen who he said were very good but don't quote him on that.
Did anyone see the uber middle aged chavs? both fat and in the 40s/50s the woman had black and platinum blode hair and was bedecked in gold? They left during Trouble Loves Me, which was awesome by the way, but no many people seem to appreciate it.
A good gig, but I've seen better from Moz!

Really, for years I couldn't give a shit who she was, where she came from or why she can't hold down a proper job but, tonight I had my first run in and she really does need putting down.
She was sat in the seat next to me as I got in. Again, I didn't bat and eyelid but, when the bloke who's seat it was turned up she wouldn't budge. He kept asking her "where is your seat?" and "Can you please move?" which gained nothing but and arrogant shrug, a point of her finger and a dismissive "I'll move in a minute" - no explanation as to what her intentions were, why she was there or who she thought she was. She was practically sat on my knee and all we could do was look at each other very confused.
It was, therefore an absolute pleasure to see her fall flat on her face as she vaulted the front row to get to the barrier. That's what Mancunian carpet tastes like sweetheart!
I don't care who you are but, we'd paid our 30 quid like everyone else (with an obvious exception). It's not your fucking front room, so behave like an adult or piss off. The lad next to me summed it up perfectly - "what an idiot". Yes, quite.
And that's the first and last I'll ever have to say on the subject.

It seems very clear to me that if 'morrissey-solo' wants to be taken seriously as a reliable source of Morrissey information, such as accurate setlists during a tour for example, then perhaps some moderation of the contributions made by members (and anonymous contributors [dubious privilege]) might be useful.
Although it is nice to have a voice and to share views with other fans, it is disappoining that the quality of some of the comments is not very good, relevant or useful. It seems obvious to me that it is the responsibility of the site creators/managers (?) to ensure that the standard of what is published on the site is maintained at a good level through careful monitoring and screening of submissions, if the site is to be considered credible.
See www.chainofflowers.com to see how it can be achieved. Here, contributions are emailed in and posted if they add value to the site and are of some interest to all readers. Otherwise, they never see the light of day unlike on this site. I think it taints an otherwise very good site.
I'm not being rude or cheeky but I am being serious.

Anyway, I thought the gig was excellent, I had a great seat and morrissey's shirt landed right in front of me. Also I thought it was laughable how during the encore the people fighting over it were completely oblivious to morrissey onstage, how materialistic can you get? no 'mid-set lull' as far as I could tell. The new stuff sounded great and confirmed for me that ROTT shits all over YATQ. Jesse Tobias is an excellent guitarist and adds alot of atmosphere to the gig with the energy he gives off.
Only criticism I have really is that the setlist could have benefitted from a little more diversity, for the amount of classic solo material he's released its a shame the set didn't represent that.
