Our first Moz gig but hopefully not our last.
Two tickets for Row H in the stalls cost £165 on E-Bay, but we missed out on standing as only the first 4 rows were allowed, and security really mean about it. When Moz came on stage everyone in the stalls stood up anyway.
Very positive spirit, everyone enjoying themselves. Moz acknowledged me and my gal' when he noticed us dancing wildly.

Morrissey had a bandage on his finger, this has probably been commented on by people at other gigs but to be honest i can't be arsed reading them at the moment! Right hand, index finger, bandage all the way from the knuckle up, exciting stuff isn't it? He had a sweat mark shaped like a heart on the back of his second shirt (pink), made me chuckle. These are the things people want to hear i have no doubt. Still ill lyrics changed again to "I should know because i've seen them, very very often".
The crowd were lovely, everyone seemed very friendly too which is unusual for Morrissey gigs (no offence intended, some of you are just miserable bastards).
The security guards were absolute tossers, i saw one boy get pulled out just for reaching over too far to try & touch morrissey. If anyone dared to get over the barriers they'd push them down & twist their arms & face in funny angles, think of stretch armstrong if you need to imagine it.
To be honest, i woke up & discovered that I have ye olde tonsilitus & can't be bothered writing everything up, i hope whoever went had a lovely time though & that someone else writes an in-depth account because i'd like to read it once i get rid of the snot and retching.

Virgin played First of the Gang to death. It was a brilliant song way better than anything on the current album and, presumably, if Moz wrote another brilliant, zingy single, Virgin would play that too. But R1 won't play Moz no matter how good the song is!
R2 is being very supportive (You Have Killed Me was one of its most played songs) and Moz should be grateful for that.
He needs to find someone who can write brilliant, upbeat pieces of music if he ever wants to escape the old-school indie world and have songs which non-music fans will at least get to hear.

Overall brilliant f*cking gig and moz was great, at the end we chanted for them to come back on but boz looked at us and said no and made the sign that they were going to the pub lol. I got totally crushed on the barrier but the bruises are worth it, great gig moz , please come back to cardiff!!!! I was in the black hat at the front.

Julia stood to the right of me, bloke to the left of me shook his hand twice!!! Amazing to see Moz THAT close up after "all these years"
Nice close-up of his ring(s) oo-er and some of the expressions he pulls when singing are just utter class! His hands look very soft for a 47yr old man! Wonder if he uses Nivea...
Moz and t'lads really seemed to enjoy it. The sound in St Davids Hall is renowned for being good. Maybe this helped?
The weetabix comment was amusing! Though someone I know shouted out Black Pudding. HA HA.
Security were the usual neanderthals.... do they grow on trees??
And noone seemed to notice that Jesse was sporting the Moz 1oz necklace thing (I think)
All in all excellent. Cheers Morrissey!! Come back to Cardiff...

Unfounded rumours (Score:1)
I've seen Moz a number of times over the years, not passionately following him throughout the tours, but wow, after last night I don't think it could possibly get any better than this. It was an awesome performance. This is what you want to hear about on this site, not pretentious ramblings about nothing in particular.
Forget concerns about his voice, his health, his frame of mind, last night proved the man is most certainly in charge and at his peak, there is no question.
Rubbish to those querying the set list, there was not one weak or out of place track played last night. Christ, he could play all night if he wanted, but what was played suited the night. It was fantastic, the man has to be applauded and so do the band. The 3 Smiths tracks were exceptionally good, even the jangly version of Coma and HSIN, well it's still a monster two decades on. My personal highlight, which to be honest is difficult to pick, was Trouble Loves Me, which shows everyone there is nothing wrong with the main man, he was stunning. All the tracks played from ROTT were amazing too, especially In The Future, which is a favourite so I was chuffed he played it.
One last thing to add, I was proud to be in the audience, the fans and there were definitely lots of us last night, were unbelievable and that's what gets Moz and the band to perform beyond expectations. I was lucky to be standing, but the atmosphere was superb from start to finish. He appreciates our efforts, that make no doubt, two bows with the whole band and a final Ciao made the night.
Well done Cardiff and well done Moz and the Tormentors, a night to cherish.....
