Show just ended about 30 minutes ago. I don't have the complete set list but he played Death of a disco dancer, Strecth out and wait, How soon is now?, boy with a thorn by his side, Everyday is like sunday, Life is a pisty, Irish Blood English Heart, First of the gang, I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris, Disappointed, I Just Want To See The Boy Happy, etc. etc. He did a 2 song encore and came out with a Chivas soccer shirt! At the encore there were several stage invaders he actually helped some of them and gave big hugs to several girls...incredible show! the crowd was fantastic singing and dancing to most of the songs. Morrissey seemed pleased with the crowd and didn't skip any lyrics on the songs. Just plain great! I will go again to one of the hollywood shows.

Also: was he wearing the Chivas USA jersey? or the actual Guadalajara jersey? I'm pretty sure it was the same one he wore to the Chivas USA v.s. Galaxy game recently, but I'm curious to know exactly which one he wore.

  • Half the setlist was driving the show kinda slow... But then it was truly amazing to hear "Stretch Out And Wait" and "Death Of A Disco Dancer" as well as "Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself". To me it seemed a full house, it may have sold out just before the gig. At an early stage he told something about being stopped by police as they crossed the border, wonder if this is true. Anyway it was great to see locals and non-locals enjoying the show. I really hope everyone enjoys the rest of the tour.

He threw one shirt and one jersey, i got a piece of the shirt and was fighting for the jersey but that guy was bitting people and some girl was slapping people. Also, the set list included inter. playboys which was after irish blood and 2nd encore was please please please but didn't play those two for some reason. ANYhow, it didn't matter, the show was awesome. 16 more shows for me to go. Can't wait. See you all there!

Apparently the pashernate stage invasions were just too much...but I loved it! The crowd were Mexicellent -- very very active and passionate but sweet and well-mannered, not mean like so many thugs in L.A. I'm so glad I went.

Intermission viddies: 2 new changes. Lipsyncha not doing 12 Daze of Xmess anymore, but still Lipsyncha -- being surrounded by ringing phones and answering with different voices. New viddy b&w of some tv show or movie in the late 40s to mid-50s. The cops (?) keep talking about a "Morrissey" who is apparently scared and about to be trapped. Morrissey's name mentioned several times. Very funny! Replaces the clip of English men fighting over ownership of some bag.

Very glad to see the return of Jerusalem as the entrance music, but it seemed a little too solemn and messed with the tempo of the set.

New backdrop B&w, was told it was Richard Burton as a young man. Has very juicy lips for a white guy, so I think it is Burton. I never did figure out on my own who was on the backdrop. Moz asked some people up front if they recognised the man on the backdrop, but no one could answer. Some jumped up Mexican lad yelled, "Morrissey, I love you!" That's when Moz said something about (the Mexican dude?) being from El Pueblo or something. It was kind of funny, but I also thought it was kind of cruel to taunt the earnest lad.

No more "England Art Suffer Hatred" on the bass drum. The bass drum has a brown cover that says in letters curving over the top and bottom reading: "Some of us is getting very nasty." Wait, that doesn't look right. My brain is addled. All I know for sure is that he's used the characteristic subject-verb disagreement (e.g., We knows when... and We hates bad grammar) and use of the word "nasty".

  • Best show ever! The crowd was awesome! Seemed to be a good mix of Americans and locals. Morrissey took a letter I was waving around between (I think) The Boy With the Thorn In His Side & Everyday Is Like Sunday. He knelt down and asked, "Is that for me?" I nodded and was too far to get the letter into his hand so a few people in front of me passed it up to him. He rubbed it in a circle over his sweaty face and chest and then slid it into the front pocket of his pants. I almost died! If anyone has a video of this, please, please let me know!!

After the show, my friends and I went out back to see if we could see Morrissey leave the building. Not many people were there. I saw Arturo speaking spanish with some venue workers and a man on a cellphone who I think was Merck. I got Jesse, Mikey, and Solomon to sign my passport because I had nothing else to sign and they all laughed that I would ask them to sign my passport. Saw Boz and Matt also but the crowd was getting a little bigger and they all piled into a white van and left. We waited a little longer and then were told that Moz was long gone. I think he went out a different exit because a fan told me she was waiting out back before Morrissey even finished his encore.

    Thanks TJ, it was fun!

  • To inhale some Morrissey. I must say, this is probably my favorite concert, so far. Believe me....he was amazing and so full of energy. The little bit of Spanish that he did speak, sounded very sexy...well at least to me. Really. I'm a bit surprised he did not sing "Mexico". It would of been a great time to do so, if you ask me. The crowd was very amiable and friendly. The band sounded awesome as always. We had no problems in TJ...pretty calm there. Met several cool Morrissey fans. The set-list was unbelievable...couple of songs from Strangeways. Probably celebrating its 20th year release. My favorite songs of the night, "Death of a Disco Dancer & Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself". Thank you TJ and "love, peace & harmony" to you. Moz13theheir aka Handsome Devil....thank you for an amazing night!!! I truly mean it.
