I saw Moz on Monday and Sunday, and I thought he was amazing both nights.
I'm so happy tonight.
I even tried to jump on the stage off the barricade but only landed my chest on there before getting tossed by a bouncer.
It was all in good fun.
Moz has still got it!!!

Moz great, venue stinks (Score:0)
However, Hammerstein as a venue sucks. I don't so much mean the actual physical venue. That's OK. But the place is run in the most incompetent way ever.
A friend and I showed up around 9:30 in the morning, and there were about 20-something people in front of us. Cool, we thought, we'll get up pretty close. But then the line shifted (people moved to a new spot, and security was nowhere around to supervise or tell us where to stand). And then all of a sudden a whole bunch of new people were in front. I asked someone what was up, and they said that apparently that's been happening every night. Some group has been "holding" spaces for their friends, like a high school clique (oh, the irony, seeing as how we're Moz fans here). An hour before doors opened, my friend and I were way back, and many others behind us were pissed off. One guy made a good point (sorry, I forget your name, dude with the Moz quote tatoo), he said "Some people just think that they're the only true fans, that there's a way to justify their behavior, that their experience is all that matters."
And did the Hammerstein staff care? Hell no, they had their heads up their asses. they couldn't manage the lines, they couldn't let people in without having everyone shove and push and yell. Then my friend's ticket wouldn't scan, and they held him as others went in, so he ended up far behind me. Then they manhandle a few invaders in an awful way.
Overall, Moz yes, Hammerstein never again.

The Man was so chatty, I just can't keep up with it. His band intro was classic: "I found myself walking, late last night, down by the docks (as one will), and I happened across this band." As an old-time New Yorker, I find that absolutely hilarious.
He noted that David Johansen was in the audience. He then launched into "Human Being," and upon finishing exclaimed that "David Johansen has been spotted running for the exit - somebody stop him!"
What a great setlist. "Jack the Ripper" was fantastic, "Interesting Drug" brought down the house, and "Good Looking Man About Town" was actually wonderful, with Morrissey posing in the most seductive way. "Death of a Disco Dancer" has also been really very moving. I missed "The Loop," but it's a small thing.
This week has been tremendous - Morrissey's audience is the best crowd ever, but everyone here knows that. From 18 to 55, he really does get the cream of the crop. I met people I know I'll see again. From Sweden to Newfoundland to Mexico, Canada, Finland, Germany and beyond, everyone had a great story to tell.
I met a kid on the subway who's eyes were like saucers, and whose jaw was on the floor. He said he simply could not believe what he had just seen. He asked "What's it like, to be loved like that?" What could I say? Only Morrissey knows the answer to that question. I'm just glad that he's still around to give us all a lesson in Glamour that none of us will ever forget, even if we try...
