    What a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crowd perfect compated to Bremen. Venue very snall, Moz and the band in a danm fine form. Just a danm fine show. Same setlist as "always" on this tour.

I touched Morrissey 3 times! Cab you imagine!

Moz and the band actually threw on fan out of the venue after the "fan" beat somebody else. Moz stopped the show and said: "Get him out, get him out" and he was kicked out by the security people. Never seen anything like this before. Very dramatic scene.

The smallest venue of the tour. Easy to get at front row. Very imtimate, club-like. Cavern-like.

Moz was having a good time. Singing perfectly.

    Moz the best ever.

"We hate bacon but we are very pleased to be in Denmark!"

Morrissey's "appearance" at Posten turned out to be a memorable one. Not a lot of fans were waiting outside the venue prior to the doors being opened but during Doll and the Kicks' set, which was very strong and exciting (and fairly warmly received), the place was rapidly filling up. By the time the pre-concert footage was put on, the unusually small, though charming and intimate Odense venue was packed. When Morrissey and his posse finally stepped onto the stage, they were met with one collective thundering roar of joy; something which clearly pleased the man who had a big smile on as he greeted and thanked the audience in Danish. The crowd remained very enthusiastic and excited throughout, especially during the encore, "First of the Gang to Die", which had everybody jumping around the place chanting along to the song.
One audience member did, however, get a bit too excited during what was probably the only slow song of the night, "Seasick, Yet Still Docked", shouting inaudible but somewhat angry-sounding comments at Morrissey who initially responded with a gentle "shut up". Really, he didn't say it in a very nasty way but still seemed to feel a bit bad about it. He went on to bark - yes, BARK - the rest of the verse he was in the middle of when interrupted, seemingly in an attempt to communicate to the crowd that perhaps he'd been a bit too snappy. However, he had no need to feel bad about anything because seconds later, the same person who'd annoyed everybody with his shouting was now bothering the people around him. As a result, Morrissey stopped the song and asked if we wanted him to continue and, of course, everybody screamed with passion and fear that he was about to leave that we did. In stead of resuming the song, however, both Moz and Boz raced to the edge of the stage looking somewhat outraged. Morrissey told the person who'd made all the raucous that nobody wanted him there and that neither he nor anybody else was interested in his kind of behaviour. The reason for this was that right after Morrissey had stopped the song, the person who'd been shouting had tried to ruin things even more by actually starting a fight! The band and the crowd was appalled and everybody was shouting "Throw him out!", including yours truly. Sure enough, the bouncers did what they do best and escorted him out of the venue and the band ripped into, I THINK, "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others". The crowd was ECSTATIC.
As far as I could see, signed copies of "Refusal" were NOT sold at the gig.

I might add a little more info tomorrow!

The Odense setlist was identical to the one used in Bremen the day before. However I'm not 100% sure he played The Loop. Can any confirm?

  • My first Moz show in ten years. And what a show! The band were rocking, and Morrissey was fighting fit (I don't know why anyone thought he looked tired, etc). What surprised me though was that no one had brought flowers, and that no one got onto the stage during the encore. I tried but only made it to the second row. Oh well.

Did anyone happen to tape the show? Or take pictures? Please!

    Peace.

  • Fabulous show and amazing to see that Moz kicked out the jackass who kept screaming and yelling at him.

One question: After Doll and the Kicks played and right before Moz entered the stage, they showed a bunch of music videos on the big white canvas - who was the female singer (or was it a complete band?) who sang that 60's song? She had black hair og and wore a white coat - and she sang something like "Sweet, sweet thing." It was a GREAT song - anybody who knows who it was?

  • While this "fan" sounds like he deserved to be booted out... has this happened before? Two expulsions. Its like The Smiths all over again.

Who goes to a gig to shout out obscenities at the artists. Ridiculous. Hope he got a good kicking.

  • During 'Let me kiss you' - while singing 'you see someone you physically despise...' (great irony)- Moz took off his white shirt and threw it to the audience. Crowd was extatic - and one fan could have a souvenir to die for. However it appeared that the stage crew urged to get it back. Did anyone see what happened? It is a bit annoying to throw items to the crowd - and then claim it back...
Loved the show - the band - and Morrissey in great shape!

fun! But don't work too much!
