  • As far as I remember it was the same set list as in Copenhagen. except that he did not play "All you need is me" if i remember correctly. Great concert but a quite boring venue.

Moz voice did not sound perfect, it did not sound as if he has fully recovered. Morrissey did not say much to the audience. What I can recall now is that he asked if we knew about Jamie Oliver and mentioned that they should take the night train to Oslo. He trough one black shirt to the audience who fought about for quite a while.

A few changes in the set list would be welcome when we comes back to Sweden on Monday to perform in Gothenburg (which is only 60 kilometers from Borås).

  • Great show! I got number 1 out of 19 of the signed vinyls!

  • "all you need is me" was replaced by "skull"...

No set list surprises, "Life Is A Pigsty" was played but no "Seasique", "All You Need Is Me" nor "I Keep Mine Hidden". "Skull" was added though. Listened to parts of the soundcheck but heard no surprises, did miss the beginning of it though.

Great gig! Two succesful stage invaders, three more got caught before they made it onstage and 3-5 others (that includes me) tried but didn't get over the barrier. During CHARMAN there were a lot of plopp bars and other chocolate bars thrown on stage but Moz did not comment on these. During the first or second verse of HSIN? there was a Swedish flag throw on stage but it was soon removed by security.

Moz was in very fine form allthough he lost his voice a bit during "Why Don't You..." but that could also have been a techical error. I'm not really sure. The sound at the venue was great. The venue itself was... strange. It was a large hall in three parts and the middle one was used for the concert, this combinde with large windows made it quite bright inside the venure (the sun sets ca 22-23.00). The Doll & The Kicks commented on the venue and said it was their favourite since it was the first one they had played with a train in it (an old locomotive). To make the venue even stranger, it was located on the parking of a shopping mall (!). The venue was not sold out, I estimate ca 1000 out of 1500-1800.

19 signed vinyls were sold (I got #6 I think) for 500 SEK à piece. It was the UK LP (Polydor) that was sold.

Moz asked the audience about something that had recently happaned and if we knew what and then handed the mic to one in the front row. He howevre replied in the maner of "Moz I love you" so Moz went into the next song (I don't remember which). Moz also commented on Norway winning the Eurovision, seamingly teasing the Swedes for not winning. The audience did reply to this so he went into the next song. He threw his shirt into the audience during "Let Me Kiss You" (as always) and there fights about pieces until the end of "Carol" which were the following song. After "Crashing Bores" he ranted Jamie Oliver (surprise). The audience in the first rows were very receptive and the was a good atmosphere, but in the back the audience was quite subdued.

Very pleased with the gig, shock Moz's, Kristophers and Solomons hands and caught Jesse's guitar pick (one of three of four) and the one Kristopher threw. The picks had "MEXICAN" written on them. Almost got a piece of the shirt thrown during "Kiss You".

Sorry for bad spelling and everything, has just gotten home and I'm tired. Will write more tomorrow or later tonight if I can't sleep. //Chartres

I managed to get a set list thrown in the crowd at the end. This is what was on it complete with abbreviations and misspellings:

    CHARMAN
    BUDD
    CLOUD
    HSIN
    SKULL
    HOW CAN?
    ASK
    PARIS
    COMA
    BORES
    GRILLS IS BIGGER
    IRISH
    WHY DON'T YOU F?
    LEMME KY
    CAROL
    PIGSTY
    ONE DAY GOOD
    LOOP
    I'M SO SO

    enc: 1st.

Not much banter from Morrissey with audience as other gigs I've been to but some I recall:

After crashing Bores, 'I hear you get Jamie Oliver over here, who is.....as I've just sung.' Or something like that.

'Later we're taking a night train to Oslo....' to which the audience boos, 'Come on, come on, they won the Eurovision song contest...'

When the audience chanted Morrissey, Morrissey, he began chanting Swe-den, Swe-den.

There was other stuff but can't recall it at the moment.

During 'Some Girls are bigger than others' he made gestures like to indicate a pregnant woman.

    Gonna eat now.

  • Presales were just under 1400 of 1600 in total. A few more was sold on the door. Venue can easily hold yet another K but according to the fire dpt security set up limit was 1600. Security was brutal and one of the 2 lucky stagers were actually the european champion title holder on Wake Skate :O

  • Sunny was soundchecked aswell as Crashing Bores, Jesus and someothers.

The band and Morrissey seemed to really enjoy playing and Morrissey was pretty talkative.

Doll and the Kicks did a great show!
