The good news is that Sky has just announced that his condition is stable.

A source close to the Morrissey camp has said "He's OK"

I was at the front when Morrissey came on and sang this charming man which was brilliant.Right at the end of the song he fell to his knees.It was like he fainted.It happened a few metres from where i was standing.People were crying.The band looked relly worried and helped him off the stage .Half an our later a man came on stage and said"Morrissey has left the building and he is seriously ill"I hope Morrissey gets well soon.

I'm praying that they're not just stalling on the real report. It's actually the media who roll out the 'stable' line. Doctors tend to avoid giving such a vague description.

Anyway, I was almost in tears when I heard. I've thought about nothing else since. I love you Morrissey and I just want you well, as do we all.

  Eyewitness Mark Taylor, 40, told the newspaper: "The stage went dark and he was taken off the stage and then his band then all left the stage.
  "There was a wait of about 25 minutes before one of the stage crew came on and said Morrissey had left the building, and that he was seriously ill.
  "Everybody started booing, thinking 'here we go again'. He has a bit of a poor track record for cancelling his concerts."

Alright, maybe he shouldn't have attempted any live dates (but THEN imagine the uproar if these were to have been cancelled). Presumably we didn't feel good before going on stage tonight but he gave it a shot.

Spoke to Doll & Kicks who were signing CDs. They had no information bout Moz but stated that there was no problem in Birmingham last night (i.e. they were totally unaware of any throat problems/curtailed set list). On that basis I can only assume that this is a completely new health issue. The guy on stage stated that Moz is "seriously ill". Get well soon dearest Moz.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald reported that he came on stage looking drawn and told the 1,000-strong audience: "Good evening... probably."

He's taken a lot of shit over the past few years. It's not easy for him to find a quiet corner, and he's a sensitive guy, he feels it.
He could do without a lot of the nonsense he puts up with. Let him be ok.

I hope it's not H1N1 (swine flu). Probably isn't because if it were he'd be coughing his lungs up. It's the air travel. He should delay concerts for at least a week after intercontinental flights. Hopefully he'll soon be home with his mum who will ply him with his favorite tea...and then he'll put himself on a strict regimen of fitness, rest and sound nutrition. He'll need to in order to complete a tour of any length.

Was watching Morrissey sing when I thought his voice seemed unusually high pitched and he abruptly ended the song, it was shocking what happened next. I ran round to the stage door within minutes to see eventually, our beloved Morrissey, his strength of character beyond words, yes he was very ill, but he demanded to walk out, with support.
I cannot write of what else I saw this evening, but pray for Morrissey and pray that he has people around him who love him and support him truly, unconditionally and with the greatest integrity.

I'd been looking at solo several times yesterday to see if it was cancelled, after reading into yesterdays comments, but no, so all seemed to be going ahead though i had a strange feeling about it after what people had said.

Firstly the bar was located out of the main arena in another hall, so missed most of Doll and the Kicks this time, it was hot and sweaty but not over hot, went in the main arena after walking through the flooded swimming pool changing rooms to get to the toilets!, a fair crowd just under 1000 i'd say, and i think quite a few were still in the bar area in the first song TCM.

The intro video before Morrissey comes on which features most of the usual New York Dolls et seemed to go on forever, well longer than i've known it to in the past, this was my first hint something was not right, i any case it spun to the usual build up of Moz chants and in all eventuality he came on to great cheer and applause.

'Good evening? possibly'

Launched into TCM, song went quite well, slightly slower perhaps than i'd seen previous but you wouldn't have noticed, he did NOT seem strained during that song like some people would like you to believe, it was only after he'd finished singing that as the band continued Morrissey fell out of view, i raised up and he was crawling/ slumped on the stage, the music went off lights went out, but came on ith what looked like Boz Boorer and another band member plus roadies carrying Moz off stage, i or no one else would have been able to tell if he was concious then or not, it happened very fast.

The crowd stayed fairly calm, i think most people there just thought he has a bad record of doing this sort of thing, assumed he had a tantrum etc, people further back began booing, hissing and jeering, the roadie came on twice, once to say they were not sure what was going on, and then to say Morrissey had left the building seriously ill, it may have benefitted the 1000 or so people stood there if he said Morrissey had left in an Ambulance and stopped the usual rumours he had gone off down the M4 to some swanky hotel in London, people just thought it was an excuse, and as for looking drawn like all the tabloids are reporting, a large number of people stood there would say it was nonsense, from where i and other people were stood he came out looking on top form, when he collapsed, it happened very quickly, unless you were in the front row you would not have noticed Morrissey being carried off for at least 10 seconds after.

The conclusion.

Hopefully Morrissey was just trying to please an audience while he had heavy flu, hence collapsing in the process,

He only wanted to keep his word, he went on last night because he didn't want to let his fans down, but he should have cancelled for his own good, but didn't because he has a heart and conscience.

Nothing but love and good wishes from me Morrissey. Forget tickets to upcoming gigs, forget frugal and mispalced economics, forget scurrilous speculation of histrionics...all that concerns me and anyone truly affected by the work of Morrissey is that the author and personality who has given us; such hope from despair; such companionship in lonliness and; such purpose from futility is in the comfort that his positively profound impact merits in any just existence.

Quantick farted, filling the stage with his noxious burger enriched fart gas. Morrissey was seen gasping for air as Quantick scurried away like a fat shrew.

I wish nothing but the best for Morrissey, health wise. I hope he's all better in December...this really sucks!
