As several others have noted, this has the exact same tracklisting as the "Centenary Edition" released in March 1997. sideburn was first with the link:

  • is a complete moron. Forget the rerererelease review. Read Mr. Rossiter's review from 97 and have a laugh. It is bad enough Gene has run everything Smiths since day one. But for him to try and take on the Moz persona by berating former/current heros is truely hilarious.
This is almost as bad as certain smiths/moz cover bands copping attitudes.
How on earth did that review slip past me in '97?

  • To see what the hell the 'Centenary Edition' is all about. For from my knowledge, it's been 14 years since Viva Hate was released, and it is the year 2002. So could somebody please explain this 'Centenary Edition' quote to me?

I seriously might buy it, because I don't have it already...If I already had it, I wouldn't be buying it, don't worry!

  • Previously unreleased tracks? Is this going to be something I don't have, or just the unreleased stuff that's already available online? And why do they keep releasing that live version of Disappointed? It's nice and all, but give us some new live material!

  • How can EMI keep doing this ?
How many times can yo release the same album. How can you say it has unrelased tracks on when the same album with the same tracks was released 2 years ago. Everyone who likes Morrissey and The Smiths will have this album already. EMI are flogging a dead horse. If EMI love releasing Morrissey material so much why dont they re-sign him?

  • I don't really understand why some people seem to be surprised by this. Re - releases and an endless stream of compilations is just natural when an artist has reached a certain degree of recognition. As longs as there is an interest, as long as people buy them, they will continue to be produced. It's beyond the artists control and it has happpened to everybody. It happens to the beatles, to BB King, and it happens to Morrissey.
