In the new Observer Music Monthly magazine supplement (The Observer is a quality British Sunday broadsheet), there is a section called 'The Record Doctor', where the doctor discusses celebrities' favourite records. This week, Jade Jagger said: 'I can't think of a music genre that I don't listen to, apart from easy listening, actually. And indie. Although I loved The Smiths and ... do Primal Scream count as indie?'

In the doctor's final diagnosis, Jade's musical tastes were applauded, exept for 'a few weaknesses', whereby 'The doctor notes Jade's appreciation ofThe Smiths and Primal Scream in an area which she knows she is weak.'

All this coming from the same magazine that praises Blur and Central African Republic music!

  • Its nice too see that people often assumed to be shallow, have in fact hidden depths, her old man did some very good stuff between 66 and 74, though it went a bit pair shaped after that, but i do rate the rolling stones alot. did she choose any of their stuff or did she successfully manage to bat away accusations of favouratism.

    anyway i digress.
