Mr. Draize Train writes:
Morrissey 'amused' with "My Life With Morrissey"? ... at least according to this story with some background information about the making of the movie in Variety's "DVD EXCLUSIVE": Meeting Mr. Smith - Andrew Overtoom talks about his life with Morrissey - DVD Exclusive Excerpt: "What we finally did was go to his home in L.A. and chuck a tape of the film over his fence with a letter attached explaining what we were doing," said Overtoom. "We never heard from his lawyers, so we assume he got a chuckle out of it. And then about a month ago, we heard from mutual friends that he had indeed seen the film and was amused."

Couldn't they mail it to him? Does anyone else find this peculiar?
BTW I have not seen the film, but I have heard it is phenomenal. I hope it comes to Chicago very soon.

Interesting thought behind the film but its not gonna make anyone's top movies of the year list. It looks like a film school project that was put together quickly. Forced dialogue, weak acting (some of which is purposefully weak) and odd themes.
Wouldn't any of us be amused if we had a movie made about an obsessive fan of ours? I guess I would and that would be why Morrissey would be amused. The inclusion of the extras on the DVD makes this one better than having just the film.

Who you trying to fool. Its all digital video not 35mm film
Next time try and pay for good actors instead of
finding them in the penny saver and please let me know when this "film" wins any awards.
