I have an inside source that as of yesterday 7/28/04 Morrissey at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, CA. USA has been confirmed. The date will be Sept 17th, hopefully this will lead up to a Los Angeles show as well. No on-sale date has been confirmed.

  • if i recall correctly, wasn't there some confusion if the venue was actually general admission last time moz played there in 02? something to do with tier sections on the tickets but other saying it was first-come-first-serve. anyone remember? or am i losing it?

    joey

ps didn't catch him last time he played SB in 02. i opted for gene 2hours south in LA the same night. now i'm gonna run and hide before i get stoned to death by the gene-haters.

  • It was a lovely place to see Morrissey in 2002. You park in a quaint neighborhood (which makes it really easy to toke and chill prior). The arena is very Hollywood-Bowl esque and the dark breeze from the Pacific makes a perfect atmosphere for the melodies of Moz.

  • For those of you that think it is so fashionable to bash L.A./SoCal: try living here for a while or at least visiting for more than a day before you throw any more rocks. Most people trashing Moz Angeles I'm sure have never stepped foot inside the city limits and know only what they have seen on T.V. and movies and are just jealous that they live under whatever rock or hell-hole they are in right now. I didn't grow up here but I was aware of all the bad L.A. stereotypes and I must say that after 11 years here that virtually all of the bad hype L.A. gets is mostly unfounded. The city is what you make it to be. I love it. If people are pissed off becuase Moz chooses to live here and play more concerst here than anyweher else in the world then you'll just have to come here to see him, like it or not. But: you just might like it ;^)

  • Give it up support Morrissey in the other 50 states. Realize that California is not the world. Forgive us for not wanting to fly to your state. The rest of us are not made of money. We have jobs and responsibilities. We have families. We can't shell out money for plane tickets, time off from work and/or school.
