  • The 1st article is so badly written it's breathtaking, the 2nd reads like they did a quick Google and cut 'n' paste job.

Journalists get paid to write, its what they do for a living - is it asking too much to get them to do it properly?

"encapsulate contradiction in magesterial fashion,"...try saying that in one breath.

Well, at least it was a positive review.

  • but the word is magisterial surely?

Anyway, some nice positive reviews. At least they captured the grandeur of the event, even if they misused and misspelled a few words along the way.

  • Morrissey looks like he is giving it to someone from the behind. I always thought it was the other was around. Oh well, guess I'll never learn.

  • I quite like how these two articles demonstrate the continued dichotomy between those who think YATQ is "manifestly average" and those who believe it is "utterly wonderful". Sadly, I tend to the former category, though I do love 'First Of The Gang'. But I must congratulate Moz on this superb series of live appearances - I was unbelievably chuffed by the reception he got at Reading, and it was basically down to the fantastic quality of his performance. In the live arena, he continues to be as powerful as ever. I recall some saying after Glastonbury that Moz should stop touring. But I think this shows that Morrissey was just having one of his off days there - his live prowess remains intact. Now, if only he's get back into the studio and produce a new album - one that was a REAL return to form....

P.S. Sadly, I agree about 'Crashing Bores' - in its 2004 incarnation it is, musically if not lyrically, a bit of a crashing bore itself.
