I was scanning through the new Radio Times last night and noticed that Morrissey is listed as a guest on the Frank Skinner Show for Thursday 9 December! He will be rubbing shoulders with Tony Bennett and the utterly brainless nobody Jodie Marsh. Anyone know if Mozzer is to be interviewed by the pompous egotist that is Frank Skinner?

  • After his experience on Jonathan Ross, I very much doubt it!

    • I disagree. I think it's time they did a live action episode of Celebrity Deathmatch. My money says he's momentarily blinded in the first round by her profound UGLINESS and deafened by her shreiking banshee voice, but bounces back to claim a third round defeat by slicing her in half with a lash of his acidic tongue.

  • And the Jodie Marsh who is eliciting such repulsion in my fellow Morrissey-solo-ers, who's that?

  • Frank Skinner usually has 2 main guests and sometimes a performance............
i would say Mozz is just performing.
i dont think Mozz would wanna be interviewed by the clever Skinner.

i must say if thats the case im quite relieved as Mr Skinner is twice as quick witted as the ever egotistical Jonathan Ross. At which people all across the u.k. cringed with uneasyness especially the fans.

    we shall soon see....................................

  • I really think Skinner is the total opposite of pompous. Egotist? well perhaps, most people in the media are I guess. To the BSides; The Public image - The piano is lovely, the chords on the accoustic a trifle hackneyed I would say. The lyrics and too bland for me. Very average Bside IMO. No one can hold a candle to you. - I was looking forward to this one. I agree with others this song was written for Morrissey to sing. I really cannot stand the lyrics, musically it's tight, drumming is hot, ever so slightly dated production techniques being utilised. Slum mums - Oh god, the baby crying at the intro, really shows a lack of imagination if you have to put that in a song. (try expressing the crys in music perhaps?) He used the word suckers which amused me. "We are paid to despise your council house eyes" is a tremendous line, and one I shall be pretending to my friends I tyhought of shortly. Overall rating for new songs 5/10 Not his best works, they sound somehow tired and lacking in energy or real emotion. I'm not feeling it.

  • I saw Frank Skinner at one of the Meltdown concerts, he is a Morrissey fan. Having said that, he is a really unpleasant person and his interviews can be dodgy at times. But Tony Bennett and Moz together? That would be amazing - two of my favourite singers I would die if they did a duet.
