Salford Community Radio is broadcasting live from the band room at Salford Lads Club from Friday 3rd December until Thursday 9th December. On Saturday 4th December at 12pm - 2pm (GMT) we will have a special programme dedicated to the story of the Smiths and Salford Lads Club. It will include features about the Smiths room and music from the greatest band in the world. We will also be broadcasting interviews taken during 2004 with fans from around the globe and playing their favourite Smiths dedications. As a special treat there will be an exclusive interview and Live acoustic set from Vinny Peculiar and Andy Rourke! At time of writing, we hope to have the programme live via the website, so fingers crossed that this works! If not, will we also be recording the programme, which will be available on the website soon. please log on to www.salfordladsclub.org.uk to find out! On Sunday 5th December at 4pm (GMT)we will continue the Salford Lads Club story with interviews with lifelong Salford Lads, Archie and Eric who have over 100 years voluntary service between them. There will also be taped interviews from visitors to the club's Heritage open days. Salford Community Radio is available on 106.4 FM to listeners in the Salford and Manchester area. Tune in and find out that there is much more to Salford Lads Club than an album sleeve. Thanks for your support! Kevin Lloyd, Leslie Holmes and all at Salford Lads Club.
