Angie Hart has written in her online diary that she has separated from Jesse Tobias. Angie, former lead singer with Australian band Frente, has been involved with Jesse for several years on both personal and professional levels. Their band Splendid have a new EP out now. But sadly, they are no more as a couple. You can read about it here. Also, you can purchase Jesse and Angie's new EP at this site: http://www.popboomerang.com/ The diary entry also states that Jesse is to be busy touring with Morrissey through 2005.

Jesse has been seeing a girl in San Fran (friend of a friend) for the past few months now. However, he was also "playing the field" while on tour, as he was HEAVILY hitting on another friend of friend in Boston.
I am told he will be in SF to celebrate the holidays with her.

My opinion (Score:1)
I adore Jesse- he is so talented. When I first saw him live in Chicago, I felt he remotely resembled Lyle Lovett (he was dressed sharply in a nice suit at the House of Blues)-
When I saw later this year at the Aragon, he looked like he was 24 years old!!!
Maybe I need my eyes examined, seriously! He is handsome either way.

The big question remaining then is does Alain reenter the fold in 2005 or is this the end.
If Moz is going to retire please tell me now so I don't have to live through the misery of the holiday season.
Moz was meant to croon into his older years (which he is far from). I see him as being able to pull it off in a classy way too ala Old Blue Eyes or Bennet. His music has so much depth and value to it that he should be able to do nothing but build on his career through the decades. That is if he so chooses to. I can't imagine not being able to look forward to new Moz releases. He is the primary reason I became a singer or at least the biggest inspiration.
Sorry I am rambling now but if you read this old friend please know there are enough of us to keep you royally happy into your elder years should you choose to remain in the game.

This is nice to know and all but wasn't Jesse only a hired hand? I mean, how old is the guy? 20? Again, not to hate on Jesse, but we need Alain back ASAP. The more I hear about Jesse on this site, the more I am afraid of never hearing from Alain again. Now we find out that he split from his 'partner'? What's wrong with saying 'girlfriend'? I mean, was Angie a man before? Not that there's anything wrong with that...
Even more important to this story; he has been playing the field...allegedly. Wow, I never would have guessed that. We could tell that he was playing the field by that 'casanova 1999' 'stache he was sporting on Letterman. Don't get me wrong. When Jesse matures he is sure to make a great guitarist, but right now he can't live up to Alain.

A different theory on the Alain situation (Score:1)
Boz mentioned in his Tour Diary back in September that Alain was "itching to play." Could we safely assume that, as long as Alain was healthy enough to play, perhaps he has been stockpiling material in anticipation of a new album? Boz is no dabhand at songwriting himself, but I can't envision him devising a full album's worth of material. And Deano is an untested commodity; I find it unlikely that he'll get more than a handful of tunes on a new album.
I could be way off base here, but I think it falls within the realm of possibility as much as any of the negative Alain rumors have.
Cheers,

i would tend to believe, however, that this worst case scenario is the least plausible. there was deano's mention of future collaborations in that online fan Q&A thing as well as the stuff from Boz's tour diary about alain. i dont think he would write that alain was itching to play again for the sole purpose of keeping things "quiet" so to speak, so as to cover up a possible falling out b/t moz and alain. finally, jed did tell the people outside the letterman taping that "they'll be back around" after a 2 month break.
id like to believe that there will be another album and another big tour in 2005 so we can all look back and realize how ridiculous all the hype and speculation was.
