Nielsen SoundScan Top 100 Albums - Jam
According to SoundScan, ROTT has debuted at #41 in the country that "has placed itself alongside China as the cruelest and most self-serving nation," Canada.
In 2004, YATQ entered the Canadian charts at #37, so not much of a difference, though I don't have the numbers on copies sold as yet.
Seven other albums debuted higher in Canada for the week ending 13 April including albums from Pink, Rascal Flatts, Le Bouthillier Wilfred, The Flaming Lips, Stabilo, Ghostface Killah and highly anticipated various artist compilation, Oh What A Feeling 3, which just edged Moz out of the Canadian Top 40- pretty sad.

come on...just read that sentence...there must be some canadians who are embarrassed to be associated to these scary types. Such allegiance to your country...how was morrissey supposed to know?
So it's you guys who are not being fair and irrational. Many of us, including morrissey, never knew of the loyalty to one's country many canadians posses.

Just know, I am with you, I have not bought the album either. I might, not sure. Morrissey made it easy not to rush out and buy it the first day like I was going too, thats for sure.

On the U.S.: “I’m not saying that Americans are models of perfection, but ‘diseased orangutans’ is a little extreme. I’m sure they’re a couple of steps up from that!”
