  • I went to their myspace page and listening to them butcher "this charming Man".

  • I remember first listening to them back in aprox 1990 at a house party in La Puente, California. This city is right outside of Los Angeles. It was in someones back yard. They were pretty good back then and are very good now.

  • How can someone live their life pretending, acting, and wanting to be someone, they will never be? I can't understand why someone would do that to themselves. Do you not love yourself?

  • Very disappointing to see that band at Vertigo's. Horribly cliché.
And what happened to Jeff? I heard he was kicked out of the band because he wasn't "mexican" enough? Where does Jose get off? The bassist they had, I forget his name, but he was quite decent along with the lead guitarist (mind you, is the only one in the band worth noting). But anyway, they ousted this bassist, who I liked actually, and replaced him with this nut/lawyer vandal reject (by the way, the vandals suck and that's why they receive no recognition, and rightfully so, in the states)....Joe Escalante. What a clown. Jose has given Joe his stamp of mexican approval. What a joke. I heard Jose and the guitarist, I forget his name on Indie 103.1 Joe Escalante's (who else) morning show at about 8:30 in the morning and I was mortified to hear Jose try in his best Morrissey drawl, dedicate Last of the Famos International Playboys to Joe. And then busted into an acoustic version of TLOTFIP. It was sad. Although, Jose can sing, doesn't mean he should. I actually liked the band before, but after Vertigo's bullshit, and to hear the dummy Joe Escalante say, "Ooooo, are you gonna like this...." in the most condescending way or something like that before they broke into a watered down, all-over-the-place version of "How Soon Is Now?". It was sad, really. I left the place shortly thereafter.
So, don't go see SATH, if know what's good for you. I think I'd enjoy them quite a bit, if they did original material, but alas, Jose is the Lifeguard Drowning, and I'm the Girl Yawning.
