Chile, Argentina festivals in Nov. rumored

  • Looks like Mr. Moz may ink this out into a north american/south american leg of the tour. Logistically it makes sense. I am hoping for it anyhow, I can't see how 2 Oklahoma shows can be all there is for the U.S.

    Keeping my fingers crossed, anyone else~

Cada vez que Morrissey ha pasado por Santiago ha desatado genuino fervor. Por eso, porque se trata de un número bien perfilado para el público local, es que su nombre siempre es fijo en Chile cada vez que se decide desembaracar en Sudamérica. Si esa lógica funciona, entonces el histórico cantautor inglés y ex vocalista de The Smiths, está a punto de tocar en Santiago en noviembre próximo. Precisamente, esa es la fecha que manejan los productores de la región para la escala sudamericana del Tour of the Tormentors, la gira de conciertos que tiene a "Moz" promocionando su último título solista llamado Ringleader of the Tormentors (abril, 2006) y tibiamente difundido en radios a través del sencillo You Have Killed Me. Su itinerario oficial confirma presentaciones hasta mediados de agosto, para variar ciudades europeas. Sin embargo, como adelanta un cercano a las negociaciones, "es muy probable que estas semanas se cierre una nueva gira de Morrissey. Chile está incluido en el plan".
    Considerando que la última productora involucrada en su visita fue DG Medios, empresa responsable de los festivales SUE en Chile y BUE en Argentina, se estima que lo más probable es que el ex Smiths participe en ambas citas tal como sucedió en 2004. A cuatro meses del evento, figuran catro nombres como probables: desde Beastie Boys hasta Patti Smith pasando por Yeah Yeah Yeahs" (La Tercera, sábado 29 de julio de 2006)

  • In Brasil there is a festival (TIM Festival) confirmed for oct 27, 28 and 29. Many of the artists that plays BUE (at Buenos Aires) and SUE (at Santiago) plays TIM. This year is confirmed Patti Smith, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Daft Punk and Devendra Banhart. In early may Morrissey was a rumoured name, but as nothing comes to confirm it, i've already lost my hope on it. In 2004 Morrissey played BUE and SUE, but not Brasil, so Im hoping this years he comes, since the gigs in 2000 were fantastic.

  • I have not read anywhere Moz is comming to South America. I check in many papers, but only heard unofficial rumours. We'd love to have him back.
