Only a quick note, but has anyone heard the excellent new single by the Manchester band, The Courteeners, it features the lyric, "...don't you know who I am, I'm like a Morrissey with some strings".

The courteeners are talentless bland dribble. a poor man's libertines. They are as dull as magnolia and lack any serious melodies or poetics. There are many people who could describe themselves as Morrissey with strings... and this bloke isn't one of them. I am not against new music, just the mediocre NME hype.

I've heard this as well, wicked band! As far as the comment below, I can understand the Libertines comparison but to say that they are a poor mans version is a bit too far. Their lyrics are have more depth than most other 'indie'-type bands out there at the moment.

Judge for yourselves, here's them live in Manchester: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t27s0rHGSdE
