Unbelievable inclusion of "Please" on Corrie last night. Can't remember them using full music track before - after initial shock was expecting it to be cut off short but it kept on going. OK - V dodgy perspective & acting but great to hear on "mainstream" tv & esp on the mighty Corrie.

On last night's Coronation Street one of the characters sat in his van deciding whether or not to break into the doctors surgery to steal painkillers and was listening to Please, please, please let me get what I want.

Extended "Please Please" during Friday night's Corrie. Can't recall hearing such a long clip on The Street before. Something rather bizarre about hearing M's dulcet tones overlaid on some loony gazing at a doctors' surgery... or did I dream it?

Theres aply on tour at the moment starring Michelle Collins (Cindy Beale0 and Rupert Hill (ex-Corrie - Danny Baldwin's son or something) which is some psychoanalysis thing and it features the music of The Smiths. All the way through. Has that been featured on this website? NO

I'm getting a bit sick of Soaps/TV series using this song every time there's a supposedly sad scene that is supposed to move us and tug on the heartstrings.

Cheesy bullshit. Used to love this song, but not anymore.

    Yawn fucking yawn.

It was lovely to hear this song on Coronation Street, i think so anyway. Very fitting for the situation.

I heard 'You Have Killed Me' in the Rovers a few months back.

Which I thought was odd as it doesn't really weld together with Becky's gobby antics and Hayley's hairsprayed wig.

I think they played 'please please let me get...' because the guy was begging to be given what he wanted (drugs). I've often seen Moz posters in the background in outdoor Eastender scenes. I guess someone in the BBC likes Moz, and rightly so. He has a huge following among the 'general public' so it makes sense that some people who make the soaps are fans of his too.

Moz and the Smiths are played in the background in Eastenders far more often than on Corrie, in the Vic, in the cafe etc. If you listen out, scarcely a week goes by without at least one.
