"I'm either a genius, or a charlatan or a half-wit, and quite often all three" - Irish Times

ON TAKE THAT: “THEY’RE HAVING A LOT OF FUN AND I WANT TO BE PART OF THAT FUN”: Eclecticism, both lyrical and musical, is the key to this album. “I want to be Jay-Z. I mainly want to be Neil Tennant. I wanted to be Stephen Duffy for a little while. I wanted to be Morrissey for a little bit. So there’s all of these people I would like to be, and considering I didn’t really have a music philosophy coming into Take That or leaving Take That – other than ‘I want this to sound great’ – I kind of allow myself to go all over the musical map, and I have done with this album again.”

I feel a bit sorry for Robbie Williams. His career is at "cross roads" at present, it could go up or horribly wrong at the present time. As we all know, his former band mates Take That are having a whale of the time but poor Robbo is struggling. Rudebox was a disaster.

To Rob: You will NEVER be another Morrissey. No chance.

  • i like robbie - there is some old fashioned showbiz charm about him - he is more norman wisdom than most modern popstars... and there is a lot of morrissey about him - there is a track on his new record as played on the bbc prom show - i think called starstruck - that has plenty of moz in the phrasing and in the shapes he pulled while performing it... good luck robbie i say - rather him than many many of the others

    You'll be surprised.

He has (and had) a great band, a great keyboard player and a great guitarist. He also had Steven Tin Tin Duffy and that made his music sound so much better because at last it had style and class and
    he can sing.

    Rock on,

    Hazard.

  • Jesus! What's wrong with you people??
    Williams is a complete cock!!
A bog eyed, fat, talentless, overpaid, over exposed, vapid, thick, ego driven, slappable chancer who got lucky in a boy band! I thought this site was supposed to be about Moz and The Smiths?
Please leave news about this wanker off the agenda! If I ever hear the sugar coated, vomit inducing, wrist slitting, chicken in a basket style 'ballad' that is 'Angels' ever again it'll be too soon!
Take note youngsters, Williams is a total twunt!
    Now I hope that's clear....!
