Former Morrissey band member Michael Farrell was on American Idol last night. He's part of the American Idol band.
It was quite neat and surprising to see him on TV.

I thought he was a vital and integral part of Morrissey's "new" band. He really brought a wonderful energy and enthusiasm to the Ringleader/greatest hits tour, (I missed the Quarry tour, so I can't comment)
and sadly, the Refusal/S-words tour suffered in his absence.
