  • . . . but am minded to note that Mr Brand could not 'sell' one water if one were dying of thirst in desert.

Poor choice if verb too . . .

  • What a sad and depressing end to a great career. Moz has become everything that he used to slag off - tired and irrelevant. At least it's not a remixed/remastered version called 'Everyday Is Like Sunday 2010'. Although the way his career is going I wouldn't have put it past him. Paint A vulgar Picture has become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'll be on sale, if you ask, as I do

but never get the extra's in the UK, a signed item of that sorta things

Better luck with okt 4 releasing Bona Drag remastered + extra songs, I believe it's not
    a 'only'UK release.

and the moaners, a new young generation will be
    hearing his early work.
I bet Morrissey has been written
a lot, as he does whenever/wherever he gets/lives,
the lines/words, always have pen and paper with him, or a cellphone/whatever, that him.
Just waiting for the right time and hope Morrissey don't book a 2 week recording studio,
    but take some time.

eat your heart out, it's not the end, he has
    a new deal, remember!!

  • Am I insane?
Why do I care that Russell Brand tweats anything
Here is a man who is engaged to an MTV loving, Snoop Dog collaborating, sexist video making MORON.

Obviously Russell Brand was an independent comic who has made it big and wants to keep him humble ties by tying on to Morrissey.

    THIS IS A NOT OK

  • that makes me feel old - jeez, I must be! Perhaps Morrissey will tour on the back of this release next year. I think I'm too old to be bothered anymore so i doubt I'll be there this time round.

Could this really be the end of Moz's career? Such an air of mostalgic looking-back on past glories does have the ominous feel of a traveller just about reaching the end of the road. Perhaps we can expect a cover of 'My Way' imminently?

  • ...I'm not too pleased with myself, though. As a fan since 1986, I've bought every official Smiths/Moz item on the day (or days after its initial release). Over the last couple of years though... I'm not the completest I used to be.

And now? My 31st version of 'Everyday is Like Sunday?' Well, I can only justify one of the B-sides, as I was at that Pacific Amp. gig backstage with friends--so it holds a fond memory. Otherwise, forget it, why? A studio version of November the 2nd? Didn't he say he disliked the version?

The future is looking grim, friends. He needs to put out one more great LP--find a great producer (I still hope and pray on the first star I see every night for Ed Buller) and end on a sweet note.

Vauxhall, Part Deux is in him, he just needs to step back, assess the damage he's done the last 5 years of his career and start caring about his legacy.
