In a recent interview with Belgian rock journalist Serge Simonart in the magazine Humo (published 5 October 2010), Boy George answers a question about Morrissey (translated from Dutch):
Serge: I've always thought it a pity that you've limited yourself to light-hearted pop music whilst having the potential to be a second Morrissey.
Boy George: Another one who has changed a lot. In the eighties we shared the same record company for a while and the CEO had organized a meeting between us. Afternoon tea in a Paris hotel. Morrissey didn't say a word, and afterwards he complained I was a chatterbox. Actually, that may be right: I was nervous and it makes you fill up the silences. A while later, I saw him at a Drums gig. When he walked past, I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned round irritated and tapped me on the shoulder much harder (laughs). But last year we had our first Proper Chat, after his London gig. It was about dead parents, about privacy, and about his CD Maladjusted. Apparently, I am just about the only one who thinks it's one of his best albums. To return to the question, I have no desire to be a second Morrissey. But I do believe I'm not burnt out yet.

As far as Morrissy turning around and tapping George hard on the shoulder it seems quiet childish and funny. I probably would have done the same. I guess that's why I love Moz. I see myself refelecte in him.

And we did.
But then it isn't just that. The songs are all so Beautiful and the remaster was the Best surprise.
One year ago today, My Baby collapsed. I blacked out so much of it straight away but it's all coming back to me now. The brain speculates but the heart knows.
So, I hate this date of Oct.24 for many other reasons as well.
Wishing Morrissey all the Best
PS
And
I LOVE him
