Simon Pegg's favourite lyric

...from this week's NME:

"I Want The One I Can't Have by The Smiths
'If you ever need self-validation/Just meet me in the alley by the railway station'.
The guy's a poet! I just love The Smiths. Johnny Marr would write melodies, then Morrissey would pour words into it. I absolutely adore them."

  • Love Simon Pegg, id watch anything he is in.
thought he was a Smith fan after seeing a bit of the video of 'Panic' on the tv in Shaun of The Dead.

  • I am a strong Simon Pegg fun and it's very nice when you find out that someone you admire has similar interests with you. This happened when S.P tweeted a Shakespeare's sister lyric "I can smile about it now but at the time it was terrible" and now this "I want the one I can't have" statement...So, here we are!

that line from "I want the one I can't have"
is inspired by that book by Morrissey, as some
    say

but al words are written, and sometimes Iget a bit iritated that Morissey's lyrics get analysed like a patient having a brainoperation, so
yes we know Morrissey had insiration by some books, writers etc. , but he doens't copy, he
gets inspired and uses it in a poetry way

[I know people will say, learn to write english,
yer writing s****, but I guess I made my point]
