  • The Cribs look like they're about 12 in these pics - and no Johnny :(. Maybe they were from before Johnny came round.
It's like a gallery of "artists influenced by The Smiths."

  • I always thought that that James Allen from Glasvegas looks quite alot like Joe Strummer. Espescially in that picture anyway.

also the pic made with the Libertines at a Japan gig or festival when the played or supported Morrissey

though I've got the feeling everyone can get a press photo pic, if yer making pics for yer localmusicpage in the weekly neighbourhoudpaper,
so I like the picture but why advertise it

Why not a quizz from the photograppher to get 3 free, somethings like that should be apropiate here
Some give-aaway, not by official labels with
worldwide chanche, even if yer not into Morrissey /the Smiths

so Mr Wright, donate a few pics for free, and
organise a simple quizz or whatever :)to win one

Stephen Wright lives almost 200 miles from the SLC and usually when an event is on at the club it is because he has been asked to attend, and he drives there with his own petrol money to support the club and all you can do is sit there and say he is living off the back of one photograph.

Two photographers have produced books of pictures they took of The Smiths and one of Morrissey - books fans would have to have paid to buy. Why no criticism of Slattery, Cummins and Linder for living off pictures they took 20 odd years ago? What are they doing to help the local community where they took photographs?
Stephen is a professional photographer. He takes pictures for a living. It pays his mortgage and puts food on his table so he has a right to sell the pictures that he has taken no matter how many he took or how long ago it was. In around all that, he finds time to give something to SLC and help keep the place going. Good for him and long may that continue. I certainly can't criticise him.

  • It's a pity Barat has been unkind about Morrissey in a recent interview. Can't remember exactly what he said, something along the lines of he was never a big fan it was Doherty who liked him, and the general tone was one of barely concealed contempt.
He's not fit to clean Morrissey's beautiful Italian shoes.
