The entire Queen Is Dead album is being played tonight without interruption on Radio 1 during Zane Lowe's show. An accompanying documentary, mentioned previously on this site, will also air.

  • Radio 1 playing anything in its entirety without bland chit chat over it is something to celebrate in itself!

  • Enjoyed this but pity no 2010 quote from Morrissey or Marr.
I don't know who edited the show, unfinished sentences, song starts, stops, silence then starts from beginning....still good to hear the album broadcast in its' entirety.
So many musicians say they are their influence, yet they don't get the recognition by air-play on radio stations as a band or solo artist.

  • I can play it in it's entirety at home without Zane Lowe's babbling and a doco that without Moz and Marr.

  • I haven't listened to the show, did Mike make his customary appearance for an £80 fee?

  • Can anyone rip the audio of the documentary and post it here? BBC iPlayer doesn't seem to like being played outside of the UK.

  • Apart from telephone interviews with Geoff Travis, Billy Bragg and a couple of Manchester music bods. All the clips of Moz & Marr were lifted from BBC archive or youtube.
