Just checked the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame web page and the Smiths are NOT on the 2011 list of nominees. By the looks of the list, the Hall is moving in an entirely different direction with no British 80's bands on the list. Some that did make it are Alice Cooper, Beastie Boys, Bon Jovi, and LL Cool J. To see a full list of those nominated check http://rockhall.com/inductees

  • Johnny Marr has not eaten Freddie Starr's hamster.

Stalin's ghost not reported as being seen loitering outside Clinton Cards in Westfield Shopping Centre.

Jenny Eclair did not eat her delicious self.

  • Is it all that surprising? This is and has always been an America-dominated list. The 1980s was the time that the US largely stopped listening to the rest of the world. In general, The Smiths or Morrissey are not very famous in the US - they are a "minority taste". I also wonder whether the nominees have to agree in advance to come for the ceremony... That would probably make it impossible for Mozz & the Smiths to be inducted!

will Morrissey get written in heaven, and a legend, when daily vistors come at the LA cemetary he allready reserved for his afterlife,
    eternal rest.

Sadly than, when he's not alive, he gets all the
honours en prizes He should've deserved even
as a Smiths member, but his solo carreer too.

    Them were rotten days
