  • ...at least on World Of which was a bad compilation that served no purpose. Could have been an essential compilation (e.g. Bona Drag) if it had included more of the non-compiled tracks of that time and left-off all those album tracks (horrible name too). Best Of was also odd since it was really an incomplete singles collection.
Too bad about Beethoven though...that one should be re-released with the omitted "Playboys" and "Tomorrow" from the shows it was taken from.

  • Don't worry. These records will probably be rereleased in a few years time with new sleeves, some extra tracks and liner notes from Moz.

  • The World Is Morrissey has 3 great tracks on the record. "Have a Go Merchant", "Boxers" and the cover of "Moon River", which if I am not mistaken are not available on any other Morrissey record. How we all fondly remember these tracks, especially Boxers, a favorite Morrissey tune here, along with the video. Steve West of 91X f.m. fame and fortune used to play these tunes all the time here in San Diego. When Cornellius Carr beats his opponent, Morrissey shakes his hand as we have all seen many times by now. Morrissey really does have a heart of gold and can act quite well. The hair, those clothes and all those videos?? Come on Morrissey, all that time on stage and living in Hollywood?? An Oscar awaits you friend, once you star in "The World Is Morrissey".

  • So does this mean the rights were returned to M? If we buy the current pressings that are out there, will he benefit more from that or do those still get divided out by EMI?

I wonder if this was negotiated or a surprise.
Nevertheless, hopefully something good will come of it.

Will you make your own label for them, M?

    Cheers,
