Former Morrissey band member Michael Farrell was on American Idol last night. He's part of the American Idol band.

It was quite neat and surprising to see him on TV.

Boz Boorer is recording and producing Glasgow band Johnny Reb (myspace.com/signalemusik) at Serra Vista Studios in sunny Portugal in late September 2010.

Looks like Johnny Marr is among several guitarists that worked with Line 6 on some kind of signature pre-sets for a new amp model they have out (Spider IV?). Seems some other great guitarists helped out as well, and many questionable ones too. Haven't tried it, no idea how it sounds, but noteworthy because (to my knowledge) this is the first time Johnny has had his name on any guitar product.
