    What about Alain whyte?

I know this has been the word on the street for many years but I've never really subscribed to this theory. For one, it's not like Gary and Spencer struggled with the slower numbers played on the Kill Uncle and Your Arsenal tours. And the final Mick Ronson session in late 1992 which resulted in...

    What about Alain whyte?

I do find it strange how Morrissey alluded to Alain reaching his zenith during the Ringleader era with such songs as Pigsty and Dear God, only to essentially sack him in that same period. I think we all know the person who is responsible for M's downfall, and it certainly wasn't Alain (or Boz).

    What about Alain whyte?

Always thankful for Mr. Whyte for his fine collection of music over the years. Not to mention helping to save Moz's solo career twice (in 1992 and in 2004). I'm just sad that his second stint resulted in him leaving again. His return in 2021 brought some much needed excitement and enthusiasm as...

Alain Whyte and band mini Ireland tour (August 21, 2023)

Is Alain still be contributing in the songwriting department for Moz?

Alain Whyte and band mini Ireland tour (August 21, 2023)

I'm curious too. It's been a few weeks since Alain's Pepsi tweet. Anything new?

Fiona Dodwell's husband: X comment re: Jesse Tobias (April 2, 2024)

And let's not forget four years later, when M was spotted dancing with Jesse in the Ganglord music video for promotion of the 2009 Swords compilation. See 3:04 mark below...

Fiona Dodwell's husband: X comment re: Jesse Tobias (April 2, 2024)

Yeah, I didn't think so either. In fact, Alain and Jesse seemed to gel very well playing together...more so than I originally had thought.

Fiona Dodwell's husband: X comment re: Jesse Tobias (April 2, 2024)

I know Alain and Gus departed because of the "temporary tour manager (Donnie)," but this is the first I've read of them leaving due to Jesse as well.

Modern Drummer Podcast Ep.5: Brendan Buckley - Morrissey mentions (March 29, 2024)

The funniest part... Brendan: "The musical director [Jesse Tobias] reached out to me through word-of-mouth and called me up. "Are you available for this set of dates [Las Vegas 2021]?" I said, "I am." He goes, "Great, I'll see you at the first rehearsal." There was no audition, no anything. I'm...

Morrissey Central "18 YEARS AGO TODAY" (March 27, 2024)

It's a catchy little gem and don't think it's ever been played live. Jesse was obviously inspired by First Of The Gang when he wrote this (you can tell during the song's chorus).

Musicradar: "...How The Smiths defied expectations on their final album, Strangeways, Here We Come" (March 20, 2024)

Speaking of the "well running dry," I think there was a reference in Mozipiedia to Johnny growing frustrated at the time of always having to be the one to come up with musical ideas. It makes you wonder if Stephen Street (and perhaps even Andy) would have eventually been asked to pitch in with...

Morrissey Central "SAY IT LOUD, SAY IT LOUD MALADJUSTED AND PROUD" (March 17, 2024)

Me three. I also wanna give a shoutout to the b-side "I Can Have Both," which is easily in my Top 10 Morrissey-solo tracks ever.

The Smiths added to Trump rally music (January 23, 2024)

I think the best way to “contain” Trump is to let him get reelected. This way, he will be reduced to “lame duck” status because of the two term limit, and then you will never have to worry about him being president again. The more the Democrats and PMC try to pile on Trump and amp up the...

Official Manager Statement regarding Morrissey’s health (January 26, 2024)

“The purpose of vaccination is to decrease the severity of diseases,” explained University of Tokyo virologist Kei Sato in JAMA. “Many people think that the purpose of vaccination is to prevent infection, but this is wrong.” In 2021 that statement would be grounds for arrest, extraordinary...

    Unpopular Opinion on Morrissey/Smiths?

Agreed wholeheartedly. I purchased Maladjusted a year after Quarry was released and, despite knowing it's lackluster reputation, was pleasantly surprised by it. I think it's a better album than Quarry. And Alma Matters is just as good of a single to me as IBEH and FOTGTD was, even if it has been...
