He dropped the kids a looker for Fatty - guess there must be a god afterall and she listens :)

Moz was on form tonight - good banter about staying in York and going to the 'Minister' on Sunday, but it wasn't very good.

One woman got on stage for a hug - yey!

Blamed Jamie oliver for the power cut.

I know it's over was just beautiful as was Meat is Murder. And the new songs are growers.

Roll on Leeds next week... Unless I get last minute tix for Grimsby :)

Dave

Did he say anymore about staying in York and the 'Minister'? If i'd have known he was hanging around York on Sunday i'd have called in sick at work and hunted him down. Damn it! I sound a bit like a stalker but you'd all do the same!

He just said that he went there on Sunday and it "wasn't much cop"

Great gig. I was stuck right at the back, up top in the corner...but still enjoyed it. Fatty was unexpected! That's No 17 for me...looking forward to Hop Farm and Leeds.

Brilliant gig- superb song selection and lively crowd. Moz wore a black dress shirt with red cuffs and red line down the front, then changed into a sparkly red one. At the start of Irish Blood there was a power cut. I thought the gig was over as the audience lights came on first but bo

Top gig, good audience, great banter. Meat is Murder was beautiful, bang on. Bit gutted Irish Blood English Heart got cut short (my 2 favourite songs after each other), but still top gig. Gunna have to beg, steal, borrow for Leeds now. Want to do it all again!!

Fantastic night, he was in top form, loads of the the trademark "moves". Quite a bit of banter, shook a lot of hands and accepted cards from the crowd. Glad we had seats (although daughter not), from where I could see they couldn't have got another person in the standing area. A few fainters. Security were handing out lots of glasses of water. One brave/foolish girl made it onto the stage and he took her hand as she was being escorted out! The one criticism (big?) I would have is that from where we were sat the band sounded off key for quite a lot of the time...

Shirts, if anyone is interested, came on in the black/red frilled shirt he wore at Glastonbury, changed halfway through to a rust lurex job, then a sort of horrible chambray shirt which he had on for a couple minutes before the power cut, then came back in the f**k morrissey-solo.com t-shirt (jauntily tied at the side for a better fit). The band wore F**k fur t-shirts for the main set.

Pretty sure he played You Have Killed Me too. Don't remember The Kid's a Looker however.

And again, unfortunately, when introducing People are the Same Everywhere, he added 'except China'.

Sounds like the Northern gigs are top quality. Shockingly enough. Can't believe he played Fatty!

Fatty! Nice. Hopefully he'll play it in Sweden in a few weeks.

WOW! It's so nice to read these reviews, but - if only I could be there!!! Sounds like he really is in top form and that set list is awesome. Fatty? Fabulous! Viva Morrissey!! I really hope to see him in the US this Fall...

Fatty, how good was Fatty?

I was sat in the gods last night, and from this vantage the funniest thing i've seen in ages is a previously exuberant Moz mosh pit all swaying en mass in time to "I know it's over", like some barry manilow gig, funny, bit if i'd have seen one lighter being waved i'd have been down there in a flash to spank you all.

Viva the Alma heroinne.

Stunning gig!

He is on fire on this tour...seems to be really be enjoying it. His voice was superb, acoustics great, mix wonderful and the crowd were simply mad for it last night!

My 11th Moz gig and the best so far...I do think he loves a northern crowd ;)

Leeds is next for me. Saw him there for Swords and it's another great venue.

St Georges Hall felt like a private party though...very intimate...the stage took up a third of the floor space.

Still reeling from an incredible night. Met some great people too...lots of Moz and music banter in the queue.

Perfect :thumb:

Some great photos from last night (lifted from allyouneed...)

And the set list, showing the encore was planned as First of the Gang, with TCM as "maybe" - guess we were lucky to get it :)

My first (at 46) Morrissey gig and what a one to start with,it was brilliant. Mind you,it's all i'd expect from a fellow Hulme boy ;)

Was mine and my dad's first ever Morrissey gig, my dad says it's his biggest regret never seeing The Smiths live, but Moz made up for that last night!

Met Boz outside St Georges, he was chatty and happy to pose for photos. I know it's over was just unbelievable.

Just a good atmosphere all round, the sun shone in Bradford for the first time in a long, long while...thank you Morrissey (we'll let you off the power cut!) x

I was roughly 2nd row from the front, right in the thick of the 'mosh pit' and it was hotter than australia down there! Absolutely amazing gig, the vibe was fantastic with everyone in the standing area. I must admit the 'swaying' was a bit cringe for 'i know its over' but it soon stopped and after 30 seconds we were all resisting the tears. The power cut was hysterical and I was glad everyone laughed it off, including Moz. Id love to go to the Leeds gig seeing as I live 5minutes walk from the O2, but I seriously doubt it could top last nights performance. Fantastic!

Seen Moz number of times this was up there with the best Gigs.
Crowd up for it from the beginning.
I was "sat" in front of dress circle and bouncing about all night. Could not understand why people around me wanted me to sit, we were in the presence of a genius. If you can't let yourself go at a gig like this there is no passion running through your veins and maybe you should have stayed at home and watched Corrie.
Much better sound than in York. As a Bradford lad I was proud to have Moz playing in the brilliant St Georges Hall even if they forgot to pay their electricity bill.
The man gets better with age Viva Moz.
