F him!!! I've been a fan for 25 years and this is the shit that really burns me.
He should thank his lucky stars for THIS SITE. THIS SITE provides his Majesty some shred of publicity and connection to his fans. It was a slap in the face shit head!!!

Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me. When the cease and desist fails you can always try a t-shirt! A Ryan Giggs super injunction could be next. And I thought he never visited this site? What story pushed him over the edge this time and more importantly..... who's job was it to get the t-shirts printed? Jesse! Keep up the good work David T, we are all indebted you to.

This is truly, truly disappointing. Moz, why do you hate your fans so much? Most of this site is a forum, where fans exchange ideas and critique and yes - heaven forbid - gossip about your music. Your sales are down, your tours are not selling, your fanbase is getting older, you can't get a record label to work with you, and to be honest, your music has generally lost its luster. This is the one place where there is energy and excitement about what you do. I'm not saying you have to endorse it, but certainly this latest stunt is counterproductive, isn't it? Would you prefer your fans to exist in an internet vacuum, as if that were possible?

I consider this an affront to all fans, the good/bad/ugly, all of us. It's such a shame. I don't wear t-shirts that say "f*** Moz for cancelling yet another show" or "f*** Moz for putting out another greatest hits compilation" or anything like that. Between the racism and the other extremist bullshit, it's hard to be a fan of Moz these days. To top it off, he hates the only real fan site that is actually relevant anymore. As if a poster for Young the Giant on the other site matters!

I can only assume that this means that Moz doesn't want an organized fan site, and if that's the case, I don't think DavidT should continue. I certainly wouldn't be able to spend another minute on this project, which has done mostly positive work on Moz's behalf.

Moz, if you're so miserable now, just call it a day and spend the rest of your days in self indulgent activities that make you happy instead of fighting with this site and your fans. You don't have to make music or perform anymore. If you stop doing that, and DavidT closes the site, it won't be long before you're musical histr'y.

I don't like this.

By publicly (PR stunt) condemning morrissey-solo.com, he's actually giving it a backhanded credit. While I think davidt. does deserve some credit, I also think that Morrissey is right, indeed, f*** Morrissey-solo.com. But the problem with this public display is that it can only have the reverse of the (possible?) desired effect. Notoriety. Now, it will draw even MORE f***ed up people and some good people, the later will always be drowned out by the likes of people such as [names omitted] AND SO ON. Thereby, giving davidt. more money (though deserved). But the fact that evil shines here, I'm afraid morrissey-solo.com won't be going anyway anytime soon (which, the contrary I was hoping for one day soon). All good (and bad) things must come to an end, but not now.

What Morrissey has really done here is say, "PLEASE GO VISIT THAT f***ING WEBSITE, MORRISSEY-SOLO.COM AND BUY MY CD'S AND COME TO MY CONCERTS BUT YEAH, f*** THE WEBSITE, ERRRM..." And people will, if they didn't before (but we know they already did.) And sure as shit, we know Boz, Spencer, Alain and Jesse do! Gary Day is too busy with the ladies.

I was hoping for Morrissey to slap a lawsuit on our dear old davidt., but with this recent cowardly act, it seems Morrissey still does love him, even though he expresses it via the word "f***". How boring, Morrissey-solo.com may last forever now. That's probably good, but mostly BAD. If Morrissey really thinks this will deter any of his fans from coming to this site, he's dead wrong. He just made it the unofficial OFFICIAL site by this very act, which we all knew already it was anyway.

Whatever, that's it, my two cents.

chris brown beat the shit out of rihanna is still making millions. why not just sit back and enjoy it before it all goes *boom*?

I've been coming to this site since 1997. Do I agree with everything posted on the site, no, but I will say that this site carried Morrissey through the lean years between Maladjusted and YATQ...it is pretty much the only thing that kept Morrissey fans connected, informed and passionate.
I don't care what he or anyone else says, I do believe this site has and always will be part of the reason Morrissey is still relevant.
Where do we find out about songs? Here
Where do we find out about tours? Here
Where do we find out about gossip good and bad? Here

Not a f***ing chance in hell would he been able to carry on at the rate he has without this site. I guarantee you this site has more hits than any other site associated with Moz. Are people here to talk shit sure. Got to any site with a forum, and people will be talking shit on anything from haircuts to reptile care...this is just another site that just happens to be abut something we love.

David, I might like everything that is posted on here, but I am man enough to say carry on and thank you for everything!

xoxo
long time fan of yours.

p.s.I don't like Mike Joyce much, but he is dead on, that version of TCM is pretty bad
p.p.s.I love the new songs btw

I couldn't have said it better myself! I have been visiting this site since 1997 as well. This is one of the best fan based websites out there. It's uncensored and that is the way I like it! David-Thank you for continuing your hard work and don't let the man get you down! Honestly, if Morrissey had the same capabilities in the 70's, would he not have done the same for the Dolls?

What a total and utter c***, ive used, without making any financial contribution, this site for more than 10 years, and it certianly is the only way to keep up with what erev he is doindg, no matter how awful. While i dont know what chaged on this site recently, its not madea any differece to the casual observer.
I cannot think why he would do this, what a dumb c***, I think David and any of his helpers deserve a shit load of credit for holding the old bastards career up for the last upteen years.
with this any his dreadful new song s he can go get f***ed

Much like the creedence occasionally afforded to football club internet sites being the One True Voice of the fans, when thousands don't actually bother posting on them, this website did not actually invent Morrissey. Nor did Boz Boorer

Still the fact Morrissey has worn a t-shirt deriding his major fansite will create a bit more publicity for all concerned. Wasn't it dear old Oscar who said etc etc?

Long may it all continue

He's probably referring to the endless negativity we see written about him by 'fans' of these pages which is horrendous and totally unjustified.

The "negativity" is written by the same two people living out of their mothers basement. They better get back to internet porn.

.

You really can't buy publicity like this!

Own goal to Moz!

Dear Friends: The light hearted comments & jokes go with life. It's the written words that are seen and meant to hurt, that made Morrissey wear that shirt?? Who knows..."Something went wrong, can't be to blame". Always Molly

Mo-Solo is the best morrissey (& sometimes Smiths) fan site that I know of. Such a wide variety of fans (and even haters) - I love it, always in my top bookmarks regardless of the quality of Moz's music at the time.

That had to be tongue-in-cheek, it is kind of funny.

Celebrities: they love people obsessing over them and they also seem to hate it???

Morrissey-solo has been a great companion for Moz fans since the 90s, and lets face it, during the no label years of 99 through to 2004 it was what gave Moz visibility to his audience. Yes, there is a lot of cheap shot shit on here, but that's the nature of the internet. Morrissey-solo remains the number one site for Moz fans. Just because Morrissey, and many of us too it must be said, may not like some of the stuff we read on this site, it's still an open forum and a chance to air views and read updates, more so than on any other site. Credit to David Tseng.

Lest we not forget that we may love him and his music dearly.... but he is a total and complete arse most of the time.

He wouldn't even have a career left if it wasn't for David and this site!

If this site ever had to advertise, you have the perfect image! I think it will help, rather than hinder!
Congrats to David!

Old bastard? More like Morrissey is a gorgeous, attractive, handsome, thin man and you can’t deal or cope with it. Boo hoo. Morrissey will mop the floor with you all. To all you evil, vindictive, phony, mental bastards out there, who even remotely think for a second that Morrissey is using said t-shirt as a mental ploy to gain publicity, then you are all out of your God damn skulls. It’s laughable to even think that Morrissey would wear this t-shirt and have his band members wear this t-shirt to promote this wasteland.

You are all responsible for the t-shirts. With your redundant banter … Jesse this, Jesse that. Then you carry on with your “Morrissey should get a new band” blah, blah, blah. We are sick of hearing it. So is Morrissey. So SHUT UP!

You know what you’ve done. No need to go in depth. Just google Jesse. Enough is enough. The t-shirts are a representation of what I am telling you here right now.

Also, Morrissey doesn’t give a rat’s ass about you and doesn’t want you as a fan so why are you voicing your rubbish, invalid, poison on here? Your shit is weak. Cretins.

F**k it. Morrissey ain’t playing. Morrissey owes you all shit. To sum it up, if any of you fans who in actuality are really just haters, if any of you even knew SPM, then you would absorb and internalize the facts. Morrissey knows God damn well, all about “musicians”. He knows all about music. OK? But he isn’t going to give you all shit because none of you bastards deserve it. And what he knows is none of your damn business.

Morrissey protects the people he cares for. He likes and respects Jesse as well as he likes and respects certain other people. He isn’t going to just sit here and let you spaz, donkeys abuse Jesse and Boz every mother fu**ing day. Not to mention Morrissey himself. I don’t even have time right now to go in depth about how you trash Morrissey himself on here. But it’s pathetic. It’s criminal really.
You think Morrissey gives a f**k about what you have to say. That’s a joke if you think that.

Broken records are on here every day, I swear to God.

Truly yours,

Your biggest fan,

This is Bonnie.

If only the content of Morrissey-solo.com could reflect how lovely David's original fanzine Sing Your Life was, with the great photos and appreciative fan articles. It was truly a fun read. morrissey-solo, being on the internet, gives the added advantage of all the tour info being conveniently posted so fans can properly plan to see the shows in real time. It's a remarkable tool and David T is really thoughtful for doing that.

There's nothing and no one telling him to maintain any of this, so people who've irresponsibly ranted and been just simply insulting when you really have personal issues that should reside elsewhere... you do us who remember the good days of Sing Your Life and the earlier morrissey-solo days injustice and have harmed the reputation of the years of good work put into this site. Just my observation, but this seems to be not appreciated by fans, Moz and probably least of all DavidT. If you have a qualm with any of the three, this site is really not the appropriate place (for those who constructively back up your critiques and don't get personal about it, this is not addressed to you). People who truly don't like M's music and are not fans don't even bother coming to this site. They don't even know about it. Just an observation.

Cheers,
romeogirl

There speaks the tooth:D For those that can remember the 90's before the internet, we used to have these things called fanzines which were the be-all, end-all for concert discussions, reviews, discourse and so-on from and for supporters of Mozzer. I can remember buying both Sing Yer Life AND True to You along with a few Moz 'zines. Slowly, but surely, the internet took over and the paper trail discontinued, now replaced with instantaneous concert reviews from the tatooed-boy in Birkenhead of last nite's show in, erm, Birkenhead. Of course, with this new found convenience came the dreaded anonymous poster (which rival the toilets at S&M Clubs with "anonymous" and "faceless" people) who seems to get satisfaction (psycho-sexual?) in pissing on Mozzer and his fanbase. Moz was never going to embrace the internet like say, David Bowie, but at least he acknowledge that this Solo does do a lot of good. He still can't get over an ex-bandmember blabbing to this site that Moz stiffed him on his paycheck. Can anybody remember his name? I can't. If he can forgive Kristeen Young for the oral sex comments, why can't he make amends here?

It's also ironic that his official website, True to You, only contains sporadic updates, no forum for any discussion and says that they take "submissions" related to Mozzer but I'm hardpressed to find anybody's words beyond Julia's and Moz's. When True to You was still only a fanzine and before Moz's approval, I can remember fans submissions with every issue. Sadly, that's been brushed aside by Moz's orders, I'm sure. So where does the Moz supporter turn to? And why sport a "f*** Moz-solo" shirt at this point? You're only alienating, your "alienated fans" even more. Most visitors to this site have only good intentions and love Moz so why bother? Perhaps it would be better to sport a f*** David Bret t-shirt or f*** Mike Joyce or David Cameron? But by sporting a f*** Moz-solo, he's only antagonizing his fans and doing much more damage than any supposed good.
