Happy New Year

Can I just wish a big Happy New Year to all in Moz Solo Land.In one way or another it has been a momentous year for Morrissey.
The unreleased tracks saw the light of day and there was probably the best tour to date.
Morrissey is currently riding high on a wave of critical popularity so let's hope he consolidates this with a record deal very soon.
Edinburgh is already in the grips of a massive New Year Party. I have only lived here for a year or so and I am amazed that people come from all over the world to celebrate New Year here.
As most of you know I packed in the drinking over 7 years ago(after a good,long hard stare into the gates of insanity),but I genuinely wish you all a great night tonight.
A big "hello" to Jane who I know is in treatment at the moment. It's the toughest thing you will ever face but also the most worthwhile thing you will ever do.

See you all in 2003.

I don't know if I'd call it a "momentous" year for Morrissey, but certainly an encouraging one...and possibly setting the stage for a momentous 2003.

Let's hope that 2003 does indeed bring us a new album, more tour dates (especially for you East Coasters, Canadians, Midwesterners, and others who missed out last time) , and the icing on the cake: a LIVE studio-quality DVD/VHS of those infamous Paris and RAH gigs!!
