Not a name I recall seeing on this site (?), but he's photographed many, many famous people.

A couple of these seem familiar, but I can't place them - so apologies if already seen.

Very nice. I like the graininess and the lighting, makes him look like a 50s matinee idol. Or in the case of the first one, an extra from The Sopranos. Curious thing with the cigar. Didn't Sam take one of him with cigar a couple of Christmases ago? I didn't think he smoked. Unless we're supposed to read phallic symbolism into it...

The photos I think you may be remembering FWD were from the Quarry or Ringleaders era for an American magazine (US Weekly or something like that) and the headline from the article had something to do with a cat from memory,

It goes with 'Churchillian legs...' :)

They are from the "Moz the Cat" interview in LA Weekly from 2007.

Random thought - but does anyone know if this Kevin Scanlon guy is related to Hannah Scanlon, aka 'Doll' from former Moz favourites and support band Doll & The Kicks? Or are the surnames just a co-incidence?

That's a hilarious interview regarding the "ghost". "Nothing for 100 miles" he says. But you can work out exactly where is was from his account in Autobiography. Although he may well have been travelling in wilderness for ten miles or so, the ghost appeared on Binn Lane in Marsden, which is a residential street on the outskirts of Huddersfield. Maybe they were a little bit behind the times there with their hairstyles.

Reread the interview ... I so wish the Morrissey of today could interview like the Morrissey of 2007.

It's a decent interview because the journo isn't too sycophantic and they're just having a pretty normal conversation. I haven't read a good interview with him in many a year.

My feelings exactly. Something happened, I feel sure. He's like a different person. The spontaneity, the humour, the wit... all gone - and we've seen this in the lyrics, too. Now all he wants to do is hit you over the head with 'issues'. It's obsessive, and it's burned everything else out. I do honestly wonder if he has some undiagnosed medical problem.

Except Sammys effort made Steve look like a dirty old man in an outdoor gents toilet, just go back and have a butchers.

he said recently that was his final statement on politics so he should get back to his normal style of writing soon hopefully.maybe he feels that he doesn't have too long to go and he wanted to get it out of his system.the most we will get is maybe two or three albums more I think.

Moz must enjoy a good cigar now and then. Pretty sure there's other pics of him smokin' a cigar.
A good cigar will give ya that nice cool and mellow buzz.
Ah, it's been years. Maybe this summer I'll treat myself to a nice Punch or Cohiba.

Lovely thanks.
p.s. the day will never come when you need to apologise to anyone on this site, considering all the amazing stories and info you have posted.

All this. There’s definitely a stark difference in his whole attitude, publicly at least, since 2009 and later. He actually did a few good interviews to promote YOR too, but ever since then, yeah, he’s veered into a much more eccentric direction. :-/

Lovely interview, relaxed and eclectic. The part where he mentioned howling for his cat and a sound coming out that he'd never heard before - I relate to that a lot.

And he thought Obama was mesmerising. I guess time changed a lot.
