Having waited for Xmas so I could receive the gift of this book,I devoured every word over a couple of seasonal days and would like to totally recommend all Moz fans read this.Not since the Rogan book has such a well-written and documented piece of literature appeared on the bookshelves of Waterstones.Buy it or steal it.No surprises and basically a book of opinions, written by an obvious fan like all of us,that cares about the life of the Great Man Himself!

i cannot be the only person to have read, and hated, this worthless book. It is a badly written, excessively flowery collection of piss-poor cliches, unimportant views and stolen lyrics. those of you who enjoy this 'book' do not deserve Morrissey. you do not understand and never will..............ctid

I got 'Morrissey's Manchester' for Xmas

and was fascinated by how the past influenced the future and was recorded by Morrissey lyrically.
For 6 quid it was a bargain - and thanks Mum for getting it me!

Thanks for that. I did buy the book when it came out but just haven't got round to reading it.
I like the writer so I am looking forward to it.
