Spectator USA: "Human after all" by John Waters (August 5, 2020)

Last album was great though...stop being a party pooper.

That’s a matter of personal opinion though.
However sales figures don’t tell lies, neither do bargain buckets in record stores.

The album was a flop as well as the ticket sales for a handful of live shows to promote it.

And the really funny thing about all this is how the British Government, The Monarchy and MI5 sabotaged all his efforts to achieve number one worldwide chart domination by releasing “THE PLANDEMIC”

VIVA BORIS, VIVA HRH the QUEEN and VIVA JAMES BOND and CO.:clap::clap:

Happy Friday everyone.

Nick Drake hardly sold a record in his lifetime.
Which is an almost completely irrelevant point. Plenty of artists have hardly sold a record in their lifetime and then gone on to sell almost no copies after they died either.

And your point was irrelevant as it was daft. I'm going to put my neck on the line and say that in 2050, nobody is going to be citing 'Dog' as a classic, lost or otherwise.

Funnily, the review in Mojo said it might be.....of course, they only gave it 3 stars...didn't want to get too pro Moz these days.

Or perhaps there is no conspiracy out there and they genuinely thought it was an average album?

Why would they say it might be classed as one of his best in the future then?
Because they couldn't think of anything else to say about it and they had a word quota to
fill. But 'this album is very average but might be well regarded one day' is scarcely a ringing endorsement, is it?
