not too much stage talk.. mentioned how long the drive was from cologne to belfort, asked julia if she drove too...
when he changed into a blue shirt which got a loud reaction from the audience and he asked if they liked it, they said yes, he thanked them with "merci" and mentioned that again at the end of the show when he said something like "thanks for the shirt, merci, ciao, enjoy depeche" at some point he wished france luck (they had not won yet)...
he also said that he ALMOST had a hit single in france then played killed me..
introduced the band as "the pigsty 5" after all the names were done he called himself "the singer"
said that ringleader has not done well in france, surveyed the audience and said, "i wonder why"
said belfort was much hotter than expected...
the moat was HUGE and ridiculous... nobody was dancing or singing, no pogo, nothing.. no pushing, nothing... loads of arm room against the rail..
i did get the set list, 2 copies... one from gary and one from a moz-tour guy who said "you were the only person who sang every song, here..."
and thanks to the help of some french depeche Mode fans i also have a piece of shirt!!!! my first moz relic so i am so happy... and it smells like him!! and it is blue... sorry that i am writing like english is my 8th language and i had never finished all the courses but i am JUST back from Blefort, i have had no sleep, i have been on trains all day, been speaking french all day and i am brain dead...

as far as france is concerned i spopke with some french morrissey fans... they said, as i am always told, he is soooooo underground here he is virtually unknown... he does better in paris, but it is more of an international crowd.. it was Chloë's first Morrissey show and she LOVED it...
i met another french guy and his gf who are fans... he said he is 26 and never heard of morrissey until 6 months ago, but has since bought everything...
personally, i think moz is very lyric driven and for people who dont understand the lyrics it could pose a problem, but that's just my very simple opinion coming from a very tired me...
detroit guy was cool (bubbah-not his real name) and pissed off some german girls who would shout "just can't get enough" (a depeche mode song) inbetween moz tracks...
at one point some one yelled depeche and moz said "yes, i know" or something to that effect.. and there was a starnge group who only shouted manchester for half the show..
morrissey was wearing a black shirt with black trousers then changed to the blue shirt which he tossed to the audience (he had it knotted at the bottom)...
the boys were in chocolate button downs with light silvery ties...
they all seemed less than enthusiastic, but who could blame them...
