I had lunch with some guys I play sports with. One of the guys has known me for a few years. He has came by the house and met my family. We have spent many hours traveling together and often talk about life. He is a good person but lives a little differently than I. He knows I don't watch TV very much and he follows football closely. He has often lamented he can't believe what he sees of me, my attitude and my life.
I previously had watched a tv commercial for "red zone" coverage of football games. So during a football conversation among friends, of which I am usually silent, I mentioned red zone coverage on tv. Later he commented that I remind him of gator from the movie "the other guy". That I probably secretly watch all the football games and live a polar opposite life of the one that is visible. Although I don't have that history, I thought it was cute that someone couldn't believe my life without a much darker history. I'm sorry I won't be able to live up to "gator" though, because that is pretty funny.
