Vive la Vida!

UPDATE 3/27/16 at bottom of post...

Mexico on my mind. One week from today, David and I are driving to Rocky Point Mexico for a five-day-weekend. I can't wait. It will be my first real vacation in over a year. I rented a beautiful house right on the beach. We plan to party, dance, collect shells, and eat very well.

Here is where we are staying... Casa del Mar Casista

A little mood music...

I'll post pics when I return.

UPDATE: 3/27/16

I'm back. Mexico was awesome in all ways: the casita , the Sea of Cortez, the company, the culture, the locals, the jumbo shrimp, the $1 tequila shots at Tekila Bar. We are already planning to go back in October for a week. My mom will join us this time.

I feel refreshed and nourished. So happy we went. Memories to last a lifetime.

Here are a few pics:

Very excellent indeed. Traveling is the best. I'm currently on the road with family myself, actually in AZ now, haha.

Really? What parts of AZ? Great state to explore the outdoors. Ever been to Sedona?

I love traveling as well; that is how I intend to spend my money.

At coffee pot and sunset. Just did Devils bridge with the 4x4. Morrisseys interesting drug playing right now.

I must say, it is very beautiful in Sedona, we were impressed with the valley, little town and the hwy 89a drive down. Already on our way out of the state, we will have to come back to do more.

What a gift and joy it must be to live there. Thank you and I hope you have a great weekend.

It's a quiet life. But it is perfect for me. You have a great weekend yourself. :)

No1uno,

You just missed the warm weather. It is 89F here and 97F in Phoenix. Clear skies. I'm loving it.

You know, we were this close to doing the afternoon at sliding rock park, but it was just a little to cold for us. Heck it was snowing in flagstaff right when we drove out of the valley. The kids, well, I want to do those rock slides. Now it seems like great weather for them.

The water is pretty cold at SRP--even in the summer. But it is a fun place to spend the afternoon. Headed up to Flagstaff this morning. Amazing how elevation changes the climate considerably. It is only 38F there now--with a high of 60F. I'll be bringing a heavy coat.

I know right, it went from this in Sedona

It was getting late and we missed going on schnebly hill road which was one of the 4x4 trails we wanted to do. We will go back to Sedona again for sure. A lot of our current plans involve going north and also going into Utah. But my wife has been repeatedly asking me about antelope canyon, so AZ may get worked in sooner than later. Life is to be lived and it never stops.

Utah would be fantastic. Have you been to Lake Powell? I'd like to make a trip up there this summer--rent a speed boat and explore all the nooks and crannies.

Yes we rented a boat in Paige one time and I gps'ed our way to rainbow bridge trailhead. In fact in one of my recent blog posts I show about 30 different camping pics when talking about my long hair. One of these pics is of us on lake Powell going to rainbow bridge. We also went down some of the legs of the lake, beached the boat and just swam in the warm water. You will love it

Page is where we'd most likely go as well. Sounds fun. I'll go back and look for that pic in your blog post.
