OK, that was heavy...

  • I loves me some Dick Van Dyke, and the guy who plays Potts' father is terrific. Still, there's something cracked-icus about this potticus for me. I think it's the way that the kids magically know the song lyrics before they've even been sung once. Hahaha!

    I think this movie woulda' kicked ass if they'd had the two kids from Poppins in it.

    On the other hand, it's always been delightfully amusing to think that our Morrissey could very well have been one of the two child leads if he'd had different circumstances. I think Phil Collins was a child actor, for example. HA!

  • i read your thing about eating disorders........i too had a eating disorder around 11 or 12. I couldn't eat or anything. The doctors thought i had cancer because i kept on loosing weight. I had cat scan after cat scan and evetually was told i was illergic to sugar, wheat, and all dairy products...i lived off fruit. My bones became brittle, my clothes dropped off me........i remember one day pinning my pants with safty pins....but the pins couldn't hold all the fabric......
    I showered 2 or 3 times a day and chnged my underwear every 5 hours......i was scared of dirt and germs......so sad at such a young age........

    Eventually after such a long time like this the doctors came to a conclusion. It was in my head......IBS, along with other things......a load of bollocks if you ask me......i was a kid who was scared of everything and couldnt eat because i vomited at the sight of food and apparently there was nothing wrong with me......they ignored the fact i couldnt go to the toilet but country doctors believe panadol will cure anything.............
    I was so messed up with my bowels and stomach i had a hot water bottle evrynight and after a month my mum and dad took it away and discovered my stomach was purple becuase it had burnt because of the heat........

    Im better now........i eat too much!!!! I panick still, i get worried and insecure, but im really good.

    Thanks for writing, it makes me feel better that im not the only one whos had a hard time......
