I only got to listen to parts of it, but I know he opened with FOTGTD. Then he played Still Ill (I'm so sad she didn't call me during this) and I Will See You In Far Off Places. I'm sure there are others I missed. I did get to hear How Soon is Now?, Girlfriend in a Coma, Suedehead, Trouble Loves Me (I bawled like a baby through the entire thing because it is my favorite song ever), two ROTT songs, and he encored with Stop Me...

I felt that the first show in Tulsa had much more energy and was, overall, a better performance than OK City. I think what may be swinging my judgement is the fact that Cains Ballroom had a more pleasant feel than the Brick House in OK, it seemed stuffy and the venue was dull.
All in all, I am totally stoked to see Moz again and cannot wait till he comes back from the European leg of the tour and plays some dates in the US. Come on Moz, book the Univ.Amp in LA, many are waiting.
Had a chance to meet Julia and speak with her for quite awhile. She was very polite, very shy, and also very chatty in her own "Shy" way. It was great to talk to her and get to know the person so many people her "obsess" over. Give her a break, she's only human and obvoulsy extremely dedicated to MOZ. And for final thought, he wants her there, nuff said.

As I suspected, my original descriptions of the shirts had lots of errors - the 'M' on the blue shirt isn't scripty, the tour date shirt is grey not brown, etc. Like I said, I just barely looked at them before the Tulsa gig. So, here are pictures! Excuse the wrinkles, they just came out of my bag.

I still love you, only slightly more (Score:1)
I'm particularly ill-qualified for the task of writing an objective review of the Oklahoma City because a chain of lucky events put me onstage during the encore. In fact, I'm particularly ill-qualified for simply remembering the discrete events of the night; the whole thing still feels like one elated rush. But, I'll do my best?
In a way, there's less to say than there was about the first show, since many elements remain consistent - same Italy kick drum, same pre-show mix, essentially the same setlist. The backdrop photograph of Sacha Distel was obviously new, and the picture and Distel were/are both new to me. Beautiful picture. It was interesting how it only filled the left half of the stage. I expected another photograph to show up on the right side at some point, but we all know that never happened.
Overall, for me, the night was defined by Morrissey's gestures. General consensus seemed to be that the Tulsa show was the better of the two, but for me, Morrissey was more performative and expressive in Oklahoma City. I don't know if it's perhaps because I simply had a better spot / vantage point in Oklahoma City? But the way he enacted each line's mini-dramas was just incredible. Here's where I wish my memories were more specific. At one point (I don't recall the song), he was going to sing 'you' at the end of a line, and everyone knew he was going to say 'you' at the end of the line, and everyone was ready to point back at him. Just before he sang you, he traced his finger over the crowd, lingering on one person then another, and then when he finally sang 'you', he pointed at someone, shrugging and making a facial expression that suggested, 'okay, you'll do'. The entire night was absolutely thick with those kinds of gestures. I mean, that's simply what he did for one word. This went on and on, impeccably, to the point of sometimes appearing staged, such as when he grabbed a (Swiss?) flag from the audience whilst singing 'flag' in Irish Blood English Heart. The most dramatic thing I remember him doing with his body is mimicking the pose of a performing animal, like an elephant or something?, at the end of How Soon Is Now, when the gong was hit. He had one knee on the stage, his forehead on the stage, and the other leg bent at the knee, raised behind him in the air. Again, my closest reference point was that it looked like a pose a performing animal might assume.
In general, both nights but especially in Oklahoma City, Morrissey seemed to me like he was on the verge of bursting out laughing. He did use that aggressive sneer a lot, the one that dates from the Smiths' days. On the whole, though, he seemed so much within his music and within his element that it was as though he was singing to keep from laughing.
The sound of the songs from Ringleader of the Tormentors: fantastic, expert. I'd only heard the Amazon version previously (many, many times), and live, the songs were basically what I'd expected. 'Deft' is the word that comes to mind.
The sound of the Smiths songs - I didn't give this much attention in Tulsa because I was just, you know, EXCITED TO BE THERE!!!!!, but I paid more attention in Oklahoma City. At both Oklahoma shows, Still Ill sounded virtually identical to The Smiths' version, except with vocals by modern-day Morrissey, at least to me. Matt Walker kills on the drums. On Still Ill, Jesse basically played the entire original guitar part, and Boz played the acoustic, nearly inaudibly - in OK City, I really could barely hear his guitar on that song. Whoever noted that Jesse is a technically accomplished guitar player is right. I mean, he really can play guitar very very well.
Girlfriend in a Coma, as I wrote in that post about Tulsa, has been rearranged to have two guitar parts. Of the three Smiths songs I heard, this was the only one to sound substantially different. It sounds larger, obviously, having gained another guitar part. I believe there was some extra stuff on the synth as well? Personally, I found it rather overblown an
