  • Morrissey played extra guitar. He was just playing D and A chords on a battared Rickenbacher

  • Setlist almost the same as the second Karlstad gig, except that they kicked off with Panic, and, unless I had a blackout, Life Is A Pigsty
wasn't played. Can't remember the exact order, but they ended with How Soon Is Now. No encore, possibly because of the time schedule.

Great crowd (10000 people? correct me if I'm wrong) and a great concert, most of the time. But it's a mystery why Morrissey
choose to include covers like Street Life, especially when playing for a huge festival audience. It was rather awful, and he thought so too.

Quite a few witty comments as usual. Tomorrow we'll drag our bodies to Iceland. Why? Stay here instead? And do what?

  • This might not be the correct order in which they were played (although he started with Panic) and I might have left out some songs, but these were certainly on the set list tonight:
Panic / Don't Make Fun Of Daddy's Voice / Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before / Irish Blood, English Heart / I Will See You In Far-off Places / If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look At Me / In The Future When All's Well / Let Me Kiss You / I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now / The Youngest Was The Most Loved / You Have Killed Me / Girlfriend In A Coma / At Last I Am Born / The Father Who Must Be Killed / I Just Want To See The Boy Happy / How Soon Is Now? / Street Life / First Of The Gang To Die.

I saw the two Karlstad shows as well, so I'm starting to get the set lists mixed up. Please correct me if I've made any errors.

Great show tonight. The audience may not have been as lively as in Sweden recently, but the type of venue was completely different, so it's to be expected I guess. A great mood none the less. Dark clouds above, but luckily no rain while he played. The pre gig tape was started a bit early, so they had to play the intro twice before he came on. But then he came, looking smart in his tuxedo. The show went well, but there seemed to be some minor sound problems, and he clearly wasn't happy with tonight's version of Street Life. But as I said, minor problems only. Sadly no encore this time, but I think he played for close to 85 minutes anyway.

Parts of the show will be broadcast on Norwegian national TV (NRK 1) tomorrow, at 00.30 (until 01.30).

  • Very good show. But I was dissapointed that they didn't play Life is a pigsty.
After there had been a big rain shower earlier in the eavning, Moz promised that there would be more rain later, but it din't come....

  • This is what my setlist says:

    PANIQUE
    DADDYS
    PADDYS
    FUTURE
    FARUFF
    STOP ME IF
    JUNGEST
    EARO
    SNOGS
PIGS or WORK OF ART ---- ?
    STREETLIFE
    COMBER
    KILLED ME
    BAWN
    IF YOU DONT
    BAPPY
    GANGLE
    1ST UV
    HSIN ?

'Pigsty' wasn't played (much to my chagrin). They opted for 'To Me You Are A Work Of Art' instead, even though the water glasses appeared briefly. Interesting decision.

More details tomorrow. Some of us need our beauty sleep.

  • This was my first Morrissey concert, and it wholly convinced me to seek out another one, before either of us die. When he came on the stage, it seemed surreal, whilst also shocking the senses due to his close presence, 10 m away. At last I am Born was great, Jesse Tobias wore this tough expression the whole time. I missed Life is a Pigsty, though. It's one of the strongest songs from RotT... Panic was great, Girlfriend in a Coma, Stop Me... all of the Smiths songs. I loved the dialogue between Moz and the audience, it absolutely appealed to the maniacal fan within.

  • .... But when is Marr coming back?

Johnny needs to inspire Moz with his genius once more.

Bring back the untouchable Johnny Marr.

  • Oh I hope he does this setlist in Paris, I'd love to hear him sing 'Don't make fun of Daddy's voice'
I do think that 'Panic' should be played at the end of the set though, then at the last part of the song Morrissey could make his getaway and be halfway back to Rome while the audience and band were still chanting 'Hang the DJ'.

  • very good show?

    to hell with norway!
Rude people. The guy next to me by the fence was f***ing yawning and his charming friend was wearing his sunglasses during the entire show.
    dear god please help me.
Morrissey probably dropped some songs just to get away, he looked seriously enraged.
    go home,cry, die.

I hope Mrs. Woolf posts something, lets keep our fingers crossed! She's(?) like Emily Bronte or something, real educated.
