  • I'm back home from the concert. My first. Wonderful. Thank God I had the chance to see him, finally!

  • ... but only at the soundcheck. I think Manchester will get it. No surprises in the setlist in Berlin... :-(

  • what a night...it was the first time I've seen his Mozness live, I've never felt so alive in the whole of my life... *sniff*

  • Same songs as in München (Munich) - I guess.
I was surprised how good it was, how many people showed up, I liked the sound and so on.
Speedway would have been fine, but it was fine anyway.
Moment of shock when Morrissey was hit by something (a book, I think). Silence. Would he leave? Get pissed off? But no. "It's OK, that's how I receive gifts."
    Funny.
He didn't talk a lot though. Seemed tired.

  • just came back from the aftershow party which took place in a small club near to the venue but was quite boring since they played indie stuff from 10 years ago (breeders, pixies etc.). along with mozza songs every 15 mins or so--> nothing compared to Manchester`s Star and Garter!

the gig was excellent, same setlist as Düsseldorf, William was in, Girlfriend in A coma, I´ve Changed my plea, National front disco, etc. Encore also the same: Please please please and daddy`s voice. And guess what: JULIA was talking to the audience!!!!
inbetween two songs mozza handed over the mic to julia in front row (of course) and asked if her if he`s doing well and she was like: yeah, you make so many people happy, you do your best and people love you bla bla. people were screaming, since SHE TALKED to us!

moz also stated that we`re so lucky to live here since berlin is such a beautiful city and then he joked it was almost as nice as WARSAW!! after that the polish speaking couple standing in front of me were throwing their football scarf (which said: POLSKA) on stage and moz got it, looked at it and said: well what`s this, oh this one IS actually from WARSAW! haha. such a funny lad. he wore it around his neck the next song and then he put it on the drums for the rest of the show.

    sound was awesome! brilliant gig...

  • Arena was crowded, the crowd went crazy when Morrissey and his band entered stage (unlike with Kristeen Young that eventhough has a pretty nice voice the songs and the music were not matching the style of Moz's fans...I guess) Highlights: William it was really nothing, Irish blood english heart, How soon is now, Life's a pigsty... He received a Polska scarve, a book with the title let me kiss you and a cigar which he would smoke afterwards as he said :P at some points the guitar and the basse had a few sound problems and Moz's microphone stand was playing tricks. His voice was perfect and he was smiling to all of us without leaving anyone out...my voice is out, and my body aches but my spirit is at the highest point, see I sang my life again :)
    may Moz be with you

  • Great gig, better than Dusseldorf. Usual set list.

Hello to the wonderful Sarri from Finland who made the queue less dull and slightly less cold and the gig a lot more enjoyable. Hope the Hamburg gig is good and you get back home on Tuesday alright. Would love to hear from you so send me an email if you can.

the concert was just amazing - and the dire warnings about him being lazy and only playing 1 hour were rubbish - they were on stage for 1 hour and 45 minutes!!!
here's some of the moz inbetween songs talk I remember:

    "welcome to the human abbattoir"

"your city is incredibly beautiful, assuming this was warzaw - just joking."

(introducing the band) "they're so shy they're afraid of looking at themselves naked in the mirror. they're not missing anything"

"julia, do you think we can make everybody happy? I think it's impossible" julia talked into the mike: "you're a great entertainer and you make many people very happy"

"this is how gifts are given to me, they're thrown. it's a book. was it expensive? it's called let me kiss you."

"during this next song I will smoke a cigar, it will be a very cheap one."

"after the show I will be on sale in the lobby. but I'm a very expensive date"

    "we're all very professional"

  • Great gig, but the audience seemed mainly to be on thorazine. Either they were drugged up or dead. Berliners seemed a bit too polite to really let go.

  • AWEsome gig again!! Although after Düsseldorf I knew what to expect anyway. Setlist was the same (even order-wise), if I recall right, which wasn't bad or annoying at all, as it's REALLY a brilliant one! Highlights remained the same, whereas "I've Changed My Plea To Guilty" again left me nearly breathless! His Mozzness was again obviously enjoying himself a lot! The interaction after some fan threw a present at him was priceless, VERY funny indeed! When it comes to the situation, where he handed the mic to Julia, I will probably never get the point why so many people have a problem with her? Did she harm or annoy anyone in the first place? Get over it all you jealous people, or just simply ignore it... Again Kristeen Young had a hard time to win over the crowd, getting even less of the crowd's approval than in D'dorf, although she was as brilliant as ever! Too bad, my budget is consumed already, as I surely would've loved to see the remaining (at least German) dates!

  • Hey...
I was in Berlin yesterday, too. And you're all right! It was so amazing! It was my first time that I saw Morrissey! And I'm so astonished. Wonderful voice and a wonderful man!

I was just angry about few people...but I think thats normal if you go to such an event...

Kristeen Young has a very good and beautiful voice. Some songs were really godd but some were not so good. But I think that she will be more popular in Germany after touring with Morrissey.

Can anybody tell me please who is Julia?
Well I've heard and read this name often...but I don't really know who she is!

    Thank you!

    Greetings to all of you!

  • the berlin-treptow-concert (I compare it to some other brilliant Morrissey shows I saw this year) was outstanding to me. I was enjoying not only the show but also the activities of the lot: the “no” and “yeah” in “disappointed”, the flowers, the many letters given to moz, the fan-singing etc. things that remind you of Morrissey-concerts in former times. I really liked that and I like to thank the ones responsible for this.

  • Hey,

just wanted to ask if you like my pics in the gallery?
I know the quality is not that good.
Also I've uploaded some videos of Moz on "youtube". The sound is quite good but the video-quality isn't that special...

For the Polish Fans: You have to watch the Video where Moz is singing "I'll never be anybodys hero now"
Because there he is wearing the Warsaw scarf!

You can tell me if you liked my pictures or videos.

    gretings to all fans!
