and the pit wasn't that crowded, if your lucky and ask around (on the hush) you can pay a lil more to get in the pit!

He threw 3 shirts and showed a lil crack. Nice! I must say

There was a private after party but you needed a "something item" to get in

He was touchy with the right side of the pit, I heard on thurday it was the left side, maybe tomorrow it will be the center.

And for those of you who want to know about security, I heard there were more today, but even then there was a rush, while the security got distracted with one, we rushed it on stage.

  • My pal from Sewersby Bridge was been dealt two deadly blows last night... Firstly he waited and waited for his gratis ticket from some kindly Moz Solo poster, but his legendary status on here must have intimidated the person with the ticket?!! Such a shame...

The second blow was when Swallowneck heard via the Moz Nut grapevine that all of the band are now thrusting young skinheads, with the exception of the mighty Boz - he likes thrusting young skinheads!

I have told him there will be other opportunities to savour.

  • Well, I must say that I felt the first night was a bit better than the second night. MOZ seemed a little frustrated to me. Did anyone notice that he kept pointing to his ear as if he could not hear himself sing? Just an observation.

That being said, the excitement of the first night probably made it a bit more special for myself, but then again, any MOZ show is special, no comlaints here.

I took my brother and his g-friend, their first MOZ show. To say the least they were blown away, mesmerized. It's great to see people who have a small liking for MOZ, see him live, it's like a life changing exeprience for them.

The band sounded good, I think the bassist is quite good. Vincent on synthesizers/keyboards will get better, he's probably nervous as hell. Mikey defiently brought a background sound that is evident with his absence, but I'll give Vincent time, he'll come on board.

All in all, I am just excited as hell to see MOZ live in the LA area.

We love you MOZ, schedule some more dates for our brethren across the USA and then come back and close the Ringleader Tour for 5 sold at shows at the Universal Amphiteater.

    See everyone tonight~

  • Did anyone notice the energy level of night 1 Vs. night 2? Night 1 was definitely more lively. Even Boz was twirling around more on Thursday! Nevertheless, both nights have been excellent thus far. There has been a good mix of people also, not just all the idiots with the tight Smiths t-shirts and tattoos! It's really laughable....ah....hahahahahaha......I'll see you all there tonight! I'll be the one with the pompadour.

PS-I went to the little "after hours" in Pasadena on colorado ant it was jammed packed, though I didn't mind because the female to male ratio was like 3 chicks per dude!! Oh, and has anyone ever "Valerie Loves Me" played at a 45 speed?? It was a littl bizzare, but the chicks were sweet....

"We're all sad to see the passing of Tower Records, because we all loved tower records, right? Didnt we? We should be sad."

Two mentions of Julia, which instantly set the crowd quiet.

"Does anyone have anything interesting they want to say? Really, I'll give the mic... no? Ok!"

Changeup in Dear God to "Spreading HER legs."

The gong had "Dont cry for me pasadena" stenciled on it.

Introduced one of the songs as "Get off the stage." Dont remember what it was then.

Introduced the band, and Boz thrice.

Lots more. dont remember. Someone jog my hungover memory!

  • One word to sum up last night:

    NICE

Same setlist from the night previous but that's okay with me - I didn't get tix to the first show.

    As for Moz:

Didn't disappoint. The man was in top form. Few lyric changes here in there -

You Have Killed Me: "Pasadena is meeeeee"

and eeerrrrmmm....a couple more i'm sure others will mention. Me and the boys had a case or four before the show so forgive me if I don't list all of them... Overall, Moz's tone and performance were some of the best i've seen ever.

    As for the band:

This is the best form i've seen them in yet. They enjoyed being up there and you could feel it. Great addition of that big-ass drum. Their ending of "National Front Disco" was EPIC.

    As for the fans:

Quiet. Let me tell you something about LA; we don't take a whole lot of things seriously. With all the buzz usually going around 24/7, it takes us a little while to get started. That's why you see Dodger fan arriving in the 3rd inning and leaving by the 8th. Like the first of Moz's shows last tour, people are a little slow in chanting (aside from some A-Hole screaming for a song he knows Moz isn't going to play) and they might even be a little slow on rushing the stage.

But once we get going, we don't stop. The buzz is even higher for tonight's show and we'll be there. LA might be full of people who say "yeah yeah, fuck it man, let's go see Morrissey!" who later say "Shit. No way. It sold out that quickly?", to the middle aged offic-errrrss scalpers down the road who just want a little love. We'll be there to bring the house down, my boys and I will be there to keep it going strong and LA will arrive. There's a reason Moz lived here for 8 years.

  • Of course that is what you are going to get. These three shows are a one-off money grab with a 3 fifths pick-up band. These shows will net him close to a million when you fold in the merch. He pays the band shite and there is no stage set to speak of.
As it is,Im surprised they even rehearsed or learned this many songs.

And I will admit that there were a few times that he brought a tear to my eye during the performance especially when Steven sang “I’ve changed my plea to guilty.

I found it funny wondering what a bushite might be doing there in the first place considering MOZ isnt too fond of the Bush regime.
