  • The crowd was pretty lame. The venue was only filled about a third of its capacity. Nothing like the previous show. List was same as mexico I think Tomorrow was added. Morrissey was chatty and lovely but the crown didnt deserve him. About 5 or 6 people made it on stage.

i was there in june and the show was fantastic.

it's kinda sad to hear that only a third of the venue was filled. the pearl is pretty small to begin with and to hear those comments...hmm...

hopefully the turn out will be better for the 10 shows hollywood shows ill be going to.

anyone with a set list or pics yet...?

Only when I'm dancing can I feel this free...
  • The floor was packed. mezzanine on the sides was 100%, 1st level boxes were packed, 2nd level at 90%, third level boxes and "casino level" seats were closed off.

I really like the AULD lANG SYNE into How soon is now segue.

He did play a lot of Smiths including Boy, Stretch Out and Wait,London, Please Let Me Get What I Want, and How Soon is Now.

The sound was awesome. I didn't like the opening act at all, she seemed like a really nice woman making really bad music.

Morrissey was missing notes and flubbing lines (including some just WRONG lyrics for Let Me) but it was all in good fun.

The sound at the venue was *GREAT!*

Note to FAT GUYS (I'm fat): DON'T BUM RUSH THE STAGE AND RUN TOWARDS MOZ. The bouncers are rightfully worried about it. Lose some weight if you need to touch him.

  • America dont deserve Moz...
Moz have to re-evaluate the next shows, and start thinking if he has to cancel some shows...
    Vegas was the best example.
Tijuana was a sucess... because latins, europeans love him.. but
Maybe Canada is not a bad idea after all... moz have to forgive them...
Maybe Argentina, Mexico, and go back to Europe..
He has to remember his lyrics "America is not the World"...

    How about a new album...

  • A few months ago He was amazing there, the crowd was good too, and the venue was nice.
If 5 or 6 people made it on stage it must have been a good night.

  • Basically the same setlist, rearranged, but instead of Disappointed, IBEH, and Let Me Kiss You... he played Tomorrow, Please Please Please, and That's How People Grow Up. AT LEAST AS BEST AS I CAN REMEMBER... don't hate

  • The crowd wasnt great at first but towards the end there was alot more energy and the crowd ended up being great. I was he first one on stage. moz grabed my hand when i jumped and pulled me away from security and up on stage and I gave him a huge hug (the most amazing experience of my life!!!) wonderful show!

  • Just got home so its still fresh in the mind, 3.15 am though so dont expect much. It was fitting tonight with Moz in town that it was raining as hard tonight in Vegas as you will ever see, throwing down all night, well until about 9pm anyway, it freaked out a few of the tourists to see it come down so hard, its rare but it happens...Moz was fantastic, the crowd were awful. Simply horrendous! Half full at best, big gaping holes in the seats all around, the floor area was considerably less occupied than the show in June at the same venue, everyone chatting constantly, cell phones in the air blocking the view, others texting away as if their life depended on it, no mass dancing at all. All the people who made the show in June so good, where were you?

Despite all that non participation from the crowd Moz was in fine form, "How bad was TJ?,it was bad, right?" he said early on, made me feel better about not making it after the car broke down on the freeway yesterday, but only a little. The setlist was supreme, old Smiths mixed with new songs and some Moz faves that we hadnt heard in a while (why dont you find out for yourself- Moz at his brilliant best), Moz talked of how important songs are as a means of communication as we are so bad at it as human beings before launching into "London", he joked of how "Every day is like sunday" reached number 9 in the Zimbabwe charts when the charts actually meant something, then corrected himself for those who thought he was serious to say the UK charts, asked were there any people in attendance going to San Francisco? Then said "ok thats about 5" then thanked the crowd for coming before closing with "please x3" All told a good night and cant wait for Santa Barbera next Saturday! I remembered more than I thought I would, sure I will remember more as soon as the submit button is pressed but Ive never been great at revues, Mel Torment is a master at this stuff, shout to you dude, outstanding for TJ! I thought I was in pole position for eyeballing Moz with my 80th show later this tour, but your triple figures has me beat, props to ya! We should have a beer before one of the Hollywood shows. Ok, Im rambling now, Bigmouth strikes again....goodnight and thankyou.

It got really irritating! I wonder why they can't just come and enjoy Moz! It was my twelve year old daughter's first Morrisey show, and she loved everything except for the idiots.

  • The crowd was very sparse and idiotic. There were some morons who wouldn't shut up and kept interrupting Morrissey when he was trying to speak. They somehow shoved themselves right behind me and my twelve year old daughter, but she was able to hold her own and shoved back. Morrissey was amaizng, but the crowd was not so great. There were some cool guys from San Diego who pushed me up to the front and threw me over the barricade during How Soon is Now, and I was able to shake Morrissey's hand for about ten seconds. I had a great time, but I wish the crowd would be been better!

  • Christ, regardless of whether or not the crowd was into it, that is an amazing setlist. Last time around we had a few "Arsenal" tunes, but now it seems as if he's favoring "vauxhill". Couple that with the smiths tunes, plus the stellar recent tracks and vegas had an amazing night whether they wanted to or not! Keep it up, Moz! Bring that exact set to Atlanta (particularly Why don't you...) and I'll die happily.

  • W/ respect to the numerous comments concerned with this non sell-out show, I see a perfectly reasonable explanation... The Vegas gig draws many from the SoCal area, yet the SoCalites now have 11 other gigs - 10 in LA + 1 Santa Barbara -(and 12 if you count TJ) to go to during this go around vs. only 5 SoCal area shows in June (San Diego, Ventura, Riverside, LA and Bakersfield) to choose among. So, for this round of his presentations ;) , there are over 2X the number of shows in the SoCal area, so no need for the SoCal crowd to make it to Vegas for the gig, as in June.

  • It's the funniest thing you see, when people are handed the microphone at concerts, and they are given the perfect opportunity to ask Moz questions they CHOKE! I don't understand how people ask questions such as "Duh..how are you doing?" or " Will that song be released as a single?" C'mon fans, of course it's going to be released eventually. The million dollar question is then, why do fans try to sound so fucking intelligent when they blog yet they don't have a voice at the shows? Let me give you a sample question:How do you feel about people always kissing your ass? or better yet was Don't make Fun of Daddy's voice a personal life experience?

  • Vegas used to be a real special place to see Morrissey but it's not the same anymore. The crowd, the set list, the venue & Morrissey in general was much better in TJ. First of all THE CROWD was far less energetic in Vegas. And there was this WHITE dude who thought he was Mexican. He was a real jerk...he wasn't a Morrissey fan because he didn't know any of the songs...just a typical Vegas dude showing up just to be seen & talking shit about me trying to impress some whores behind me. WHITE dude, trying to compensate for other areas in which you're lacking? Puto! I'm sure you know what that means since you were trying so hard to be Mexican! Eventhough the SET LIST was basically the same except for a couple of songs, I mentioned the set list just because I was able to get one in TJ & when I saw the set list in TJ Morrissey was supposed to do 2 more songs (Playboy & Please as a 2nd encore). The VENUE (The Pearl) was great but the way they handled the line at the very last second sucked...eventhough I was one of the first I didn't get to the rail. MORRISSEY also seemed to be in better spirits in TJ. When Morrissey speaks why do some people continue to yell at him. Morrissey had to say SHUT UP! In TJ, he also surprised us with his Chivas jersey & signed even! No surprises in Vegas. And note to everyone...if you want to meet Morrissey or shake his hand at a show...DON'T WEAR ANYTHING THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE WEARING AN ANIMAL!!! There was this chick in Vegas who tried to shake Morrissey's hand but Morrissey declined because she was wearing a LEOPARD print jacket. I just had to laugh when Morrissey declined to shake her hand...he just waived her goodbye. Anywho...sorry everyone for being so negative but these are the things that stood out for me & I'm sure I'll be at the next Vegas show again. These were the first shows (TJ/Vegas) since Oklahoma & Phoenix. I hope I can make it to a couple of the Palladium shows. I hope. P.S. a HUGE thank you to Violet (I hope that is your name) for letting me & my homie stay in your room at Bally's...you saved our lives!

  • Hi,
First off, as some of you know, I attended the Morrissey concert here in Knoxville, Tennessee. Congratulations to everyone who got to see Morrissey in TJ and Las Vegas this week! I know it was a wonderful experience for you.

I know I may get flamed here, my post labeled as off-topic, etc. but I just thought I'd mention this about Pete Doherty and send you a link to the petition if you wish to sign. I've liked the Libertines fairly well and didn't really think much of Pete's drug problems, but this is horrific!
According to news sources, Pete gives crack to his kitten with a specially made crack pipe. There is a picture beside the story with the petition. If you just want to sign your name and not leave a comment, you have that option. I just wanted to let animal lovers on this site know about this. I know that Morrissey would be sickened by this as well. Here's the link below, and thanks for reading this. If it happens to show any spaces, please delete the spaces as you would when looking at concert photos, videos, etc.

I was there 2 hours early and still did not make it to the front row due to this mess. But, the music was lovely. The crowd at the front was a little violent and there were two couples directly in front of us who seemed like not only were they not fans, but they seemed like they would MUCH rather have been somewhere else. But, the two guys from San Diego made my night. If you guys read this, the L was great :) Hope you made it home safely!!

I think he has been on tour for too long. He needs to take a break, and re-charge....otherwise, he is just robbing his fans in terms of what he charges for a lifeless performance.....

We were worried that Morrissey was going to be turned off once he saw what a dismal turnout it was but suprisingly to us, he ended up doing a spectacular show. For 'real' fans, the set list was phenominal. Although the crowd and mood wasn't great, we winded up leaving thinking we had seen one of his best shows in a long time!
