Moz was in good spirits but the show had NO-WHERE near the energy that Monday night's show had. No stage invaders, no audience-mike, and this time, he was able to sing Dear God..without any interuptions.
The show was actually pretty calm elsewhere but there was a s*it-load of pushing and shoving in the front. People were tapping out, and couldn't get over. From what I could tell, there was much fighting over the only shirt Moz threw out and kept at it until long after the end of the show.
Apparently this shirt caused other fights to scatter across the venue. One chick had her shirt ripped wide open and didn't care to cover up her saggy tits as long as she could get a piece of that cloth! Elsewhere, some dudes were playing tug of war...
Who knows? Maybe the concert would have been better had these people put their energy into the music.
It's what you would expect a second of ten errrr EIGHT shows.
Looking forward to more setlist changes but nothing LA hasn't heard before with the exception of Human Being.

Moz seemed down! (Score:0)
Monday night there was so much interaction with the crowd. So much chit chat. He was so playful and seemed in excellent spirits. Not so much tonight.
Tonight he hardly spoke at all. I think I saw him shake three people's hands total when ordinarily it would be at least a dozen. Hardly any jokes. I love his jokes! That is such a huge part of the show for me.
And just when I was loving the question and answer vibe from Monday, tonight, there was none.
At any rate, Moz is still in his best form ever. I just hope whatever is getting him down passes quickly. It makes me sad to think he is bummed when we are out there lovin' him so much!

But enough of all that … it was Morrissey, it was Friday night and I still have 6 more to look forward to.
The set list shuffle was a nice change. Loved hearing “new” additions Playboys & Shoplifters. Human Being definitely rocked and was a welcomed surprise for me though Moz commented that perhaps we thought it was too bluesy. Makes me wonder if we’ll be hearing it again. I’m really liking the new songs although we were missing the best one “All You Need Is Me” – “Paris” is a close second. Even THPGU is growing on me. I’m not terribly fond of the chorus but the rest of the song I quite like. I still can’t believe we have to wait til the fall of next year to hear these songs recorded.
Sorry, I digress. Definitely not the best review I’ve written … need more coffee & one of those Starbucks breakfast sandwiches (sans meat, of course).
As for the performance, he sounded amazing and looked debonair in an all eye-matching blue ensemble. I know it’s a serious song and all, but I totally missed the lustful screamfest during “Dear God” and I kind of think he did too. Perhaps he did somewhat lack that certain je ne sais quoi that we’ve all become so endeared by. It’s possible we can attribute it to first day back awkwardness after the 10-becomes-8 debacle. I’m hoping the pink elephant has left the building for tonight’s show.
See you there.

ENTIRELY SEPERATE LINE for 10 Package Holders (Score:1)
After having explained to them fully yesterday the situation and explainig that we need OUR OWN LINE, they agreed with me and as a result they created a new line.
I spoke with the folks at again the venue after the show to ensure that they would do this moving forward for the remainder of the shows. I received confirmation that they would. Those with blue tickets will stand at the RIGHT side of the enterance gate and regular ticket holders will continue to stand on the LEFT as they have been doing.
Unfortunately, I probabaly won't be able to go tonight but I hope everyone has fun tonight!
Also, please report back if there are any problems with the line.

Don't want to repeat others, so I will concentrate on highlights.
Speaking of concentrate, he changed lyrics during "Stretch Out and Wait" to "How can you concentrate when you're standing here?" We can't, Moz! Your frinkaliciousness is just too much! Also sang, NO NO NO, after the "Is any point in having children?"
One of the funniest jokes was Moz introducing th'Lads as "These five lap dancers behind me are...." and said that Boz had survived two nuclear attacks. Had an interesting time explaining lap dances to Shiho. She asked me which one of th'Lads I'd like to have as my lap dancer. I guess it would be '92 Halloween cross-dressing Boz. He was totally hot as a chick. Too bad he didn't have moobs back then.
After Human B, Moz said Boz had just had a heart attack. Sorry to be ungrateful, but while I"m happy they played it again, it didn't sound as good as the London Palladium's version. Moz sounded very good and flashed a lot of tit (yeah!) during it and other songs, but the pace was dragging, the bass too loud and thudding (sound tech problem, not Solomon's playing), and the tuning of the instruments seemed off-key...or maybe that's just me going deef. Especially during KY's set I also thought the bass level was too heavy in the mix and the feedback/distortion was very annoying to my tender ears despite the earplugs I always wear.
Friday's show seemed rather subdued compared to the previous ones despite the larger, hyped crowd. Lots of stage invasion attempts, but most seemed to be just random attention whores, so Moz ignored some of them.
Didn't mind that the mic wasn't given to us, but he still wouldn't take Shiho's manga despite getting several goofy looks of recognition and a wave back when I waved to him while drowning under the security guard's massive abdominal girth (girl behind me fell ill and needed to be pulled out, then her sister wanted out at the encore). Goddamn shirt was flung too close to us. Luckily we escaped injury. Moz is a fucking sadist.
Another joke Moz made was about the antiquated toilet signs in the back. Said there was one marked MEN and another labelled POWDER ROOM. Asked where should a man go if he uses powder? I shouted that it should be the powder room then (if he's going to use powder). But Moz said nobody knows. Mmmmm....
Scent of Billy Budd was intermittent. Grateful to everyone around me who bathed! : )

Interaction was nil. Not even to Julia (unheard of!). It was pretty obvious there was a decision for him to have minimal communication with the audience (verbal and nonverbal) so that crazy fans wouldn't feel entitled to take advantage of him. He was soaking and soaking through his shirt and never took it off (poor guy!) until almost the end. People were getting kicked out from the audience, too (security was going in & out through us, my friend said it was because of the weed... but isn't too much alcohol the problem?). Yeah, leopard girl really f'd it up for all of us in that respect. I doubt any of the rest of the shows will be 'Morrissey's living room' and a 2-way conversation like Monday night. Thanks, leopard girl/mod girl, whatever.
