  • Got a handshake during some girls. Same set. Much better crowd.

  • Yeah it was good - he was in fine form, but was only out for an hour and 20 min and there was no booze! Something which Morrissey himself commented on. No stage assaults made, and some tool tried to drag Morrissey into the crowd during this Charming Man. Think this put him off dishing out the hand shakes.

I saw Bruce Springsteen in Philadelphia two nights ago He played Philly two nights in a row and played a total of 12 different songs on both occasions. I don't understand (since in my opinion Morrissey has much better songs than Bruce in his cannon) why Morrissey does not mix up the setlist more. There are a number of fans who travel with him for each show. Julia, that Mel guy, etc. I saw Morrissey play in Philadelphia earlier in the year and I knew the setlist (both songs and order) before I even walked into the place.

Including his Smiths stuff, his solo stuff, and even the covers he has consistently performed while on tour Morissey has well over 300 songs available. I just wish he would give the audience a little something more...

  • ... who pushed me aside to get to the place at the barrier being kept for him by two other people: you're a boorish pleb. Such behaviour is the antithesis of the spirit of Morrissey. And your friend is a rude ugly dwarf. And fat.

  • Does anybody know of a chap called Manuel who is part of the front row fraternity?

I really need to get in touch with him as a matter of urgency re swapping Manchester tickets, but have lost emails and cannot post on the forums.

If anybody has a contact number or email for him, please post it here.

Great night, was given the playlist that was taped to the drum platform at the end.
Looking forward to Morrissey's 'five-a-side football today' ( that he jokingly said the band were playing at the leisure centre the next day ) and Belfast tonight

  • Same set list - again. Pretty good sound though. Thuggish crowd at the front as usual who seem to enjoy pissing other people off more than enjoying the show - by the way, you STINK!!!

Moz in good form, not a lot of chat but his voice is awesome at the moment - certainly no signs of swine flu anyway. Boz looked bored again and only really came alive during The Loop. One shirt thrown to the mob, no stage invaders, overall a 7/10 night. See you in Belfast tonight.

  • Great night but that Tosser on keyboards needs to go - serves no purpose at all and can't play. Bring back Mikey Farrell.

  • Good show all round, although I have seen Morrissey alot chattier than he was last night.
As someone else mentioned, he said he would be coming back today for five-a-side football "with my shinpads on".
He asked "Is there really no alcohol tonight?" and made a face, then gave the microphone to a crowd member who confirmed it. After one song near the end he lay his hand on his throat and sort of grabbed it as though it was sore, but I'm pretty sure he was messing around.
Mentioned the new single, "If you have been in any record shops lately, you WON'T have noticed that we have a new single out."
During 'This Charming Man', he shook hands with an overzealous crowd member and security rushed on like bees to a honey pot. He tends to ignore the middle section of the front row regarding handshakes, it seems. he did take several letters, and also a CD, I couldn't make out what it was.
Another thing of note: whie Morrissey's back was turned, someone through something (a ring? It was very small) on stage and it hit him on the back of the head. He rubbed his head, looked at the ground to see what the object was, and made a face in the direction where it came from. Just wondering if anyone else saw this?
He wore a cardigan-shirt combo, then a terrible purple shirt (think Coachella), and then a black shirt for the encore.
Highlights for me were Let Me Kiss You, I Keep Mine Hidden and Ask.

  • A great sweaty evening with Moz. Still can't believe he played Omagh..fair play to him, just 20 miles from my house. It was strange, I used to date a girl in Omagh in my teens. She and I were Moz fanatics even then. She lived on the same road that leads to the venue last night. Hard to believe that over 16 years later I'd be walking that same road to see the man himself. And who did I run into...my old girlfriend. It was a great evening. Thank you Moz. See you all in Belfast tonight :-)

  • Omagh (Score:1, Interesting)

Had an excellent night at the Omagh gig! Venue was slightly perculiar, toilets were in changing rooms and people were actually swimming still, venue stewards wearing shorts etc bizarre... anyhoo, crowd i thought was *slightly lame* at points, where i was standing i was singing along to every song, most people around me seemed not to know ANY of them... certain ones did get a great reception though (such as FOTGTD), got a handshake of Moz during that (swoon!), and at the aftershow at Top of the Town got to talk to Boz (who remembered me from speaking to him in Dublin 3 years ago!) and Hannah from Doll and the Kicks... all in all a great evening!! Roll on tonight at the Waterfront!!

  • Thank you to all the guys that tried to help me and the niece get a birthday card to Morrisey. I can't tell you how nice that was, I'll remember that for many years. With the risk of being a cheesy-ass, you were brilliant, & to the lovely English lass beside us, shouting with me for his attention, what can I say? We didn't deliver hand to hand, but you all made a young girl smile. Thanks to you. Peace......

  • I agree with some comments made about the crowd that night...what annoyed me the most was standing at the front, and some young couple moaning and moaning about people pushing to get to shake mozs hand...dont go to a morrissey gig and not expect to get people pushing...oh and also the no alcohol rule...madness
